Re: One Day in the Life of a Wolf - Memorial 7-25-20
Unfortunately, my California medi-cal won't cover the Vicodin. I'll have to take whatever pain med it does cover. Walgreens is calling the ER now for confirmation..
Meanwhile, I sit here in agony. It hurts.
I've had like 33 stones since 1969 but this is my first big one in ten or so years. As I recall, they were easier to handle when I was younger - LOL

Last night, I slept pain free thanks to the Vicodin
I took a sleeping pill to aid my sleep due to the great heat California is currently having.
I haven't had the need to take a second Vicodin so far. MacWolf knocks on wood.
Maybe I'm lucky that I'm in great physical shape. As you may not realize. I, River, Paolo and Kristoff all possess the body of Greek gods.
P.S. Kristoff, that Greek god wants his body back

Oops, I spoke too soon. The pain just now started up again but it's different so far. It's not the stabbing pain is the side, it's more the pain in the tip of the penis as if I had a urinary infection.
And yes, I just now took my second Vicodin.
Into each day a little rain must fall

make sure you keep the vicodin in your pocket. easily stolen, easily sold for quick cash.

Boy did I really miscalculate this morning. About 10:30am the pain skyrocketed to over 9. I was in so much agony I called 911.
The ER doctor ordered an xray, blood test and urine samples. Then she got me a shot of pain killer that knocked my agony from a 9 to a three. She gave me an Rx for Motrin and said to take it with the Vicodin.
I just now got home from my walk home from the ER. I dropped off my Rx at the pharmacy and I go to pick it up in 20 minutes.
Hopefully, tonight will be better.

As my dad always used to say, "This too shall pass." I'll bet it is going to be a doozy moving on through. Can you ask for lithotriptor treatment - busting up stones with sound waves?

Funny kidney stone humor
At the moment the combination of 600mgs Motrin & the Vicodin seem to be at least lowering the pain to a tolerable level.
And yes Kristoff, I have the two meds well hidden in my bedroom.
Kristoff, it sounds like you're familar with stones

Obviously, I have offended the Weather Witch - KOLA, our local radio station says it was 120 F. To quote IEunuch, "that too effing hot"

I'm still taking the new combo of pain killers, Motrin and Vicodin, and no major discomfort
After I took the pills after getting up today, I needed to eat and recalled I was out of money till payday. I walked over to Jack-in-the-Box and they let me put a meal "on the cuff" till September 1. That's one advantage of eating there everyday
I'm hoping this won't be another 120 F. day but we shall see. I'm optimistic.
I wonder if the Red Nun needs a roommate. I make meatloaf (MacWolf shudders)
