I just finished walking home from the hospital. I was poked and prodded. They took urine tests, blood tests and a Cat Scan.

Great to here that it is not pancreas. That would be far worse. Not that the stone's are good.
Hope the stones pass fast just like I hope your unwanted house leaches also pass to other places.

I stopped by Mac's place today to help with the door, and found that the frame is shot and needs to be replaced.
It was burned by the fire so a new door and frame is in order. Oh well I tried.

Geologically speaking, a lot of ancient stone becomes brittle and
crumbly. Maybe Mac's stones will just fall apart.

I'll wager if I had private insurance, I might have been offered the use of the lithotripter, which uses a laser in water to break the stones into sand size particles.
Since I don't have that insurance, my hospital visit was free but, the only thing I was given was a prescription for Vicodin and told to walk a lot and drink lots of cold liquid. That I already knew about but the Vicodin might be nice

When I awoke this morning and went outside, I saw that Monty had rebuilt the door frame and installed a door. There's no way to lock it yet but it's nice to have a back door again
I told Monty I was out of cat and dog food and he said he'd try to get something.

Monty has some good points besides carpentry: This morning I noticed that the Kitchen cupboard was bare. Monty gave me enough money for a burrito.

GOOD NEWS FINALLY
I called the Federal Government today to check on mom life insurance under which I'm the sole beneficiary. The kind man at the other end said I should be receiving a check within 7-10 days
He said he couldn't give me the amount over the phone.
So, very soon, I should be out of the poor house, at least for a while. heh heh
