Mac, it was cold and raining for the last couple days and now its going to get colder, time to break out the fall cloths, that includes a jacket. Shorts and Tshirt weather is I think gone for the year. :(

I did the same thing, picked up a case of coke, I have about 20 lbs of potatoes, 25 or so nice tomatoes from my garden with about 80 peppers, time for salsa. I am so glad we get paid on the 3rd.

Now if I could only teach Rupert to pick up after himself I would have it made, he is always knocking something to the floor and I just cant get him to pick it up for anything. Maybe its that thumb finger thing. Rupert he just looks at me and is totally unimpressed. Stupid cat.

RUPERT'S POINT OF VIEW

I enjoy knocking things over and it's that baldheaded guy's job to pick them up. I've tried to teach him to keep this place clean but you know River. Must be his old age.

Stupid human.

Here's the News and All the News:

• My house guests/staff will be officially leaving on October 3rd :)

• Jeanette, my 14 yr old house guest, has a bad habit of leaving doors open. Yesterday, while rushing out the door to see her buddy, she left open both the front door and the security screen. As luck would have it, my cat escaped AGAIN.

My neighbor was promised $20 on the first if he caught him and got him safely inside my house. This morning, the cat wandered out from under the house and my neighbor grabbed him receiving multiple claw wounds. I tried to help and now have 11 exit wounds myself from the little bastard.

My cat is once again safely inside my house and, when I can afford it, am getting that nail trimmer as advertised on TV.

Sometimes I wonder if my cat likes his home considering he escapes it as often as possible. Then again, it is just a cat which has not been fixed.

Woo Hoo, only two days till payday.

Just please be careful when they leave. You may be missing a few things around the house. Be vary careful with your money. I am very sure that they need money and may want yours. Think you SS check arrives around the first of the month. Gives them 3 days to suck up the money.

HELP!

Monday morning my garage caught fire (cause known) and burned to the ground. It took out my electricity, cable, phone, and gas.

I just called Edison from a neighbors cell and they thought my house burned. Can someone call Edison for me and tell them I NEED POWER.

EDISON - 1-800-611-1911

Customer Acct # 2-31-721-2181

Service Acct 3-033-7442-24

Thankies.

As of 11:05am Calif time, I have no electricity, Internet, gas nor phone. :(

To reassure Mac's friends, I've called Southern California Edison and they promised to have someone at Mac's house by the end of the day. Their computerized records show that the house (not his detached garage) burned down and they pulled the meter and the wires! Even if they do get there as promised, it may be another day or so before they can replace what they removed.

While Uncle Mackie doesn't have telephone (or modem hook-up) yet – I tried calling him about 5 minutes ago - the power company says that his electricity went back on just over an hour ago. Progress has been made. I'll keep after the phone company....
