Right now I would think some smoking would be good for you. Your body has gone through a lot. Removing smoking cold turkey will what I am told can cause all types of anxiety or panic attacks. Going on a program to cut down may be a smarter way at the present. Some smoking may help your sleeping problem.

I sure hope so.

I actually did have two pipefulls yesterday. No sleep last night but after the nurse left at 9:30am, I slept till 3:00pm woo hoo.

One side note, a traumatic injury seems to be a great way to lose weight. Before the fire, my weight was about 231. Today it was 201. I'm wasting away.

Strangely, my phone is working today but it seems it's a hit or miss thing. No Verizon person ever showed up.

I have been meaning to walk a mile north to pay my bills and stop at Radio Shack and get a cheap plug in phone so I can install my VOIP system. Everyday that I had planned to go, I had no sleep the night before.

I find my depression is directly proportional to the amount of sleep I get: last night I slept two hours and slept from 9 this morning to 3:00 this afternoon and I feel like my old self except for a gamey hand.

I'm still on the Paxil but not sure if it's working.

This Tuesday I have two medical appointments. 10:30 am with the family doctor the hospital assigned to me. I'll kibbutz her for some anxiety meds.

2:30 pm with physical therapy at the hospital to fit me with a glove that I'll be wearing 23 hours a day. This glove is supposed to help the hand-arm heal better.

P.S. I injected my own insulin today. That's a breakthrough for me as I hate/fear needles.

Paxil will not immediately solve your problems. It takes time. Insulin, I hope I can avoid that.

I walked my two miles in 101 F.heat today, paid three utility bills and picked up a new phone.

Now I'm enjoying a beer and a pipeful.

I received a bill for my surgery and stay in the hospital: $81,000. The bill did say I owed nothing since I have Medically Indigent Adult status.

That price is over double the price of my cardiac bypass surgery. 🆘
