Not bad at all. Baking Soda is great for odor absorption or bleach water.

Is that high or low for a bearded, senile, 61 year old fart?
DAMN, I'm almost as old as River.
Where you live has a huge influence on car insurance rates as does the car make and model. (one of the most expensive to insure is a Ford "F" series pick up). I insure two cars (liability only) for $266 semi annually. I'm 62 with no tickets or accidents. --FLO--

Hey I drive an F series pickup! I'm 25 ((26 in two weeks)) and I pay $112/month for full coverage. My violations and such have fallen off, all except for possibly one speeding ticket which will fall off in January. And I get a discount on my insurance through my credit union.

I'm now a fully insured driver for the State of California. Was a bit more that I thought with extras but still, $37.00 a month isn't too bad
Would have been more money if I was as OLD as Grandfather River

After obtaining car insurance, I went to AAA to pay my car registration. It was $89 but now I need to go back next Tuesday to ger a Special Permit to drive without having my car smogged.
Too many expenses this month to shell out the several hundred needed to pay an "honest mechanic" to have it pass smog.
Maybe I could raise funds by having my beard, like River's, to be declared an alien life form.

YESTERDAY was my best day of the year.
I had lunch with six GREAT people.
I renewed my friendship with Plix and Ken and met Kevin (SLNT)
In addition, I hugged new friends: Bobbie, Ralph and CuriousLAguy.
I even managed to show off my largest asset (the 40 foot Palm Tree in my front yard)

Now, that sounds splendid. Thanks for the good news!
Since my retirement, I have lived marginally--not anywhere as rough as your situation but still tight. I relate in a personal way to many of the comments you make.

yes, retirement has its ups and downs, you have all the time in the world to do all the things you never could when you were working but now you cant afford it.
I can tell one thing though, Macie is getting senile, everybody knows he is much older then I am, he just posted that he was 61 and I am no were close to that age.
River the younger of the two, and much better looking if I do say so.

But.....Whose beard is the longest?
Unfortunately, Ken didn't bring his camera and Bobbie's camera broke when it saw my face...alas.

Re: One Day in the Life of a Wolf - Memorial 7-25-20
Anybody see those two old movies: FROM NINE TO FIVE or MISERY. I only ask because it describes my day so far.
I awoke at 9:00am which is my ususual time and mom was wide awake and bitchy. From 9:00am to 5:43pm she was a royal pain-in-the-ass and I was miserable.
Constantly telling me she had to pee (every 20 minutes) though most were dry runs. If I didn't know better, I'd say she was trying to piss me off.
Asking every ten minutes for me to call her Aunt Clara (we don't have a Clara in the family and no living aunts, sisters or grandmothers)
Demanding I drive her home immediately (she's in the house she's lived in for 57 years).
Demanding another breakfast after she threw the first one on the floor. I gave her two more pieces of toast which she gave to the dog. I like the dog more than I do her (today, at least).
Calling for ice cold water every ten minutes. I refused as ice cold water makes you pee more often hence more work for me.
Has told me 11 times to feed both dogs. I fed the dog after the first time. I told her the second dog, Kato, had died. Her reply, "feed him anyways."
I was only married once from 1981-1982, long frucking year of my life. I learned what the verb "NAG" meant.
Mom nags like she has a Ph.D in it.
The advantage to me of putting her in a home would be retention of my sanity but a loss of money to pay utilities or buy food.
I suppose I'll keep her, at least until October 1, 2007, when I go to court about the conservatorship. I was supposed to secure a $300,000 bond but was told the fees were from $1,500 to $3,000 with collatteral. I own nothing substantial...well, I own her car which doesn't run and might be worth $300.
I have no idea what to expect in court. I wish the court had assigned me an attorney too. Mom has an attorney but they have never even met.
Since this day has been rotten so far, that means tomorrow will be better, r-i-g-h-t?
Pigs can fly can't they?
