Re: One Day in the Life of a Wolf - Memorial 7-25-20
This has been a weird week. I've experienced Frustration, Happiness, Pain and Sadness.
FRUSTRATION - The back of my commode is still leaking despite all my amateurish attempts to remedy it.
HAPPINESS - Because more than two dozen friends wished me congratulations of reaching 61 years of age.
PAIN - When I set out the three garbage cans yesterday morning, I tripped and my entire body hit the asphalt. Strangely all the damage went to my left foot which now feels like IEunuch's back or Christina's shoulder. It's at least sprained and if I wasn't a caregiver, I'd stay off it.
SADNESS - My white german shepherd died in my arms today. He acted as if he had a heart attack. I rubbed his chest and scratched his ears (his two favorite things) till he stopped breathing. He was ten years old and lived a pampered life. He died on the livingroom couch.

I am very sorry to here about your great loss. Pets are really an extended family. They are your closest friends. They are there for you when every one may not be. Wish our cats could have meet him in a week when we see you.

Dear Mac
I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. I lost both my parents young and I know that a dog is like a child and best friend. I wish I had better words of comfort. Hang in there.

On the plus side... I still have my black & brown German Shepherd, Rocky and my black cat, Cabby.
Thanks all for your condolences on the loss of my white shepherd, Kato.

I know how you feel about losing your dog. Our best cat died suddenly the other day. She was almost 12, so it was a shock but not a surprise.

Mac, I mourn with you. I still mourn my cat Georgia who passed away in 1989. She shared her life with me for sixteen years. Most of those years, she had semi-annual birth control shots. When she did not, she would wait to give birth when I was home and with her.
I have most of the symptoms ofTourette Syndrome. Sometimes, it is funny to watch.

Re: One Day in the Life of a Wolf - Memorial 7-25-20
My dog died six days ago and Animal control refuses to pick up the body...so far. I have called Animal Control everyday for almost a week without any tangible results. I called the Mayor's office today to complain so hopefully that has an effect.
I emailed the Center for Disease Control to see if they can't help.
If I hadn't sprained my ankle and knew the city was going to take so long, I would have violated the law and buried the dog in my back yard.
Two friends from the EA are dropping by to see me this coming Saturday and I hope to god the dog is gone by then. The smell is aweful and the neighborhood parents are afraid they children will get a disease from the rotting corpse.

Calling the Mayor helped. Within 90 minutes of the call, Animal Control was here and the body was removed. It may take a day or so for the odor to dissapate. I'll do my best to mask the odor. It depends what is least expensive: kitty litter or lime/lye.

ACTUALLY, if any of you saw me in the chatroom, you'd notice my grammar sucks often and yet I consider myself a Spelling Nazi.
Good News Wise - I have a 10:00am appointment to get car insurance tomorrow. Estimated cost is $33 a month.
Is that high or low for a bearded, senile, 61 year old fart?
DAMN, I'm almost as old as River.
