Re: I need some advice
I have not much say in what medication i get subscript.
99% adult get androcur (Cyproterone) here in the Netherlands.
The doctor wanted to discuss it first with the whole team, but if i need a other medication it probably be triptolerine

Yes triptolerine is the same group of drugs and should be healthier then cyproterone in long time usage.
You also can use low doses testosteron. It will shut down your own T. production and lower your level so low as you need.
Sounds crazy, but is so.
It's more healthy then staying without any testo and your libido on low level will be non existent. Also you will be producing more estrogene what is good aganinst osteoporose and on low level testo the E2 level should be perfect.

Re: I need some advice
Hi Fixit,
I just stumbled across your terrific thread. Interestingly, I had been on a similar journey as you, through the same time frame. I was under the name hkeunuch before. (Unfortunately, after I achieved my low T and much smaller genitals, I lost the drive to keep up with this EU Forum for too long, and the ID got frozen. But my posts are still available.)
I had found using Androcur alone did not do a whole lot for my testosterone. But when I supplemented it with Tamoxifen, then my testosterone and especially the sex drive dropped.
I took Tamoxifen both to prevent gynecomastia and osteoporosis. But it also helped with other side effects of low testosterone, like depression, low energy, weight gain. What I did not know initially was it amplified the castration effects of Androcur. When I was taken both at higher dosage, I felt completely sexless. That's when I experimented my dosage to the lowest necessary dose.
My sustaining dosages during the last year was 12.5 mg Androcur, and 10 mg Tamoxifen. I stopped Androcur around 2009/2010. And my testosterone level remained low ever since.
I have since changed from Tamoxifen to Evista, which is more specific for osteoporosis. I am also taking high calcium and vitamin D supplements. I have regained more energy to do exercise, especially weights, also to help fight osteoporosis.
I don't think I will really need an orchidectomy, as my testicles have shrunk to less than 1 cm long and my T remains low.

Re: I need some advice
Hi, I do recognize the hkeunuch name.
Ive been using tamoxifen for about 1 year with androcur some years ago.
I did have the best effect with it with no libido at all. It was very nice.
But i always needed a very high androcur dosage, and with the tamoxifen i couldn't afford it.
Now ive been recognized by the hospital and the healthcare, so i pay very little now.
Now because of the poor results with androcur, i'm getting a new blocker. Over 3 months ill get Raloxifene with it.
Raloxifene is the same as Evista i see now.
Sadly my bones have taken a toll, but i hope with Raloxifene ill get some improvement.

Re: I need some advice
Hi! Indeed, Raloxifene is the same as Evista, and should help your bone health. Also I think you're taking calcium and Vitamin D supplement, which also help.
Additionally, push yourself to do exercises with weights, as weight bearing exercises help bone develop density. The most difficult part to train unfortunately is the hips. Also, these exercises strengthen the muscles, which help put less strain on the bones and joints. I know, at low T, it is very difficult to do exercises.
On the other hand, your testosterone levels seem to have already reached castration level. How much lower are you aiming for?
Granted, as a much younger person than me, you would naturally need more androgen blocker. Taking age into account, I am still surprised that after combining Tamoxifen to Androcur, you could not lower your Androcur dosage (Androcur being the more expensive drug). For me, I dropped from a high of 200 mg/day to 25 mg/day, and got lower sex drive (or actually no sex drive at all) when taking the combination.
Very glad that you are going to receive Raloxifene. When taking the androgen blocker together with Raloxifene, you (and your doctor) might experiment lowering the androgen blocker to lowest dosage that achieves your goals. Also, Raloxifene will help you regain some energy so you can get back into some exercise program.
All the best to you on your journey.

Re: I need some advice
Today my first shot of Decapeptyl (Triptorelin) has been set by the doctor.
H
My testosterone was very high, in the past it has been lower, but the last 2 years the T values was going up, so high it felt between the normal range of a male.

Re: I need some advice
Yesterday ive gotten my second injection of Decapeptyl 3.75mg (Triptorelin)
This time it went much smoother, just before the doctor came, I have warmed up the injection up under my armpit.
First time it took like 30 seconds to push it in, now like 7-8 seconds, much more painless.
I start noticing the effects again, just like what i had in the past with androcur.
Erections/ejeculations is not possible anymore, hurray!
