The damage from this past troll attack was such that it's taken Talula an awful lot of time to begin to put things back together again. VBulletin and our ability to talk to one another was the first priority. We now have that piece back.

The Chat Room is fully operational. It continued to work while everything else was down, but most members couldn't access it without the link from the main server.

The story archive should be the next section to be back up. Talula has already loaded all of the stories themselves onto the server. If you know the link to the story (included in some of the reviews here) you can go directly to it. A Google search on a title or an author that you know should also get you to the story.

Putting up the indexes and links from the front page of the Archive will take quite a bit of time yet, and it may be weeks before everything is repaired such that new stories can be accepted.

Now might be a good time to encourage long-time readers to write reviews of stories that they have downloaded to their own computers, so long as they can ALSO post a link to the story in their review.

As a sample of what needs to be done on the Story Review board, I just did a Google search for the story covered in the review at the top of the current list there:

Gangs, Balls, and Castrated Villains

With Google Advanced Search, using the title, there were 44 listings, one of which was the story itself.

It know everyone wants the stories back up and it will happen. The behind the scene part is that just the current indexes to the stories took a evening to upload. These are parts the public never sees and we have enough stories that it takes time.

Things are happening although it seems as if they are not.

I learn everyday about "spelling" and other "stuff" by reading EA, so a
