Once a sexual offender (pedophiles in particular) they will ALWAYS be sexual offenders.

The only 100% cure is a .38 special in the back of the head. I despise criminals that hurt others and I despise sex offenders in particular. They should be hunted down, hanged in the public square and their bodies left on desplay at the gates of the city as a warning.

A .22 to the brain stem works nicely. One can miss the braincase almost completely, never have to penetrate skull bone and so there is very little blood. It doesn't make for such a hard restoration job for the mortician, either. Usually, the pentration brings on instant death without the hemorage into the eyes that creates the black eyes and post-mortem bulging associated with death by a headshot.

.22 caliber ammunition is also cheaper. :-\

Good point regarding the .22 ammunition. However, .22s simply aren't powerfull enough to ensure penetration. The bullet has to impact flush. If there is any angle it increases the possibility of the bullet failing to penetrate the skull and traveling between the skull and scalp. A .38+p would have no problem penetrating the skull. To keep the head from exploding like a melon with a cherry bomb inside, a Glaser safety round could be employed to dispatch the offender, eliminate the possibility of over penetration and ensure the brain is thoroughly destroyed.

The condition of the offender's body is of no concern to me, only the removal of the monsters who prey on the bodies and spirits of their victims.
