I wish you all the best in your recovery and your future. I know it will be a happy one :)

Good morning and thanks everyone for the good wishes and kind thoughts. I really do appreciate them. :)

It's Friday morning and with the help of the sleep aid, I enjoyed a very restful night. I've just been laying around this morning, doing my dilation and

before venturing outside. I want to take some photos of the area today, e.g.; the recovery house, the surrounding mountains, etc.

I have two more dilations to take care of today and want to catch up on my rest in preparation of the long journey home tomorrow. I am looking forward to getting home and sleeping in my own bed.

I did get Marci to fill out the Physician's Affidavit which is a part of the required paperwork along with application that I have already completed and a certified copy of my name change decree which I will mail off the the department of vital records for the State of Illinois. My Birth Certificate will then a reissued in my new legal name and in the female gender. My old Birth Certificate will then be sealed away and will not be available to anyone without a court order.

The old person, the one that I never felt I was, is just about gone for good. :)

I'm so happy for you Erica. It was so nice to hear your voice last week. :)

I will prolly call you next week after you settle in and all. I'm so glad things are working out with your health. Take it easy and enjoy your new life. Say hello to your spouse for me.

Big hugs, Lilac

We made it home last night from Colorado and I've got to tell you is...it was so good to sleep in one's own bed again.

The trip was a bit uncomfortable on the bottom. Between 2 hours in the car, the wait in the terminal for the aircraft, sitting on the airplane for another 2-1/2 hours and then a 45 minute ride home from the terminal...all I can say is that I'm glad that's over with!

I'm going to rest, relax and dilate today and that's going to be about the extent of my activities. It's been a very busy and remarkable past 10 days for me and one that I'm glad I could share with all of my friends here at EA.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and encouragement. I do deeply appreciate it. :)

Hi Everyone,

I'm feeling better with every passing day. I have an appointment this afternoon to get the catheter removed from my bladder and I've got to be honest with you...it can't come soon enough. The darn tube coming out of my lower stomach area is really getting to be a bother, especially when trying to wear some regular clothes.

Went out on my own to check out a problem with a friend's computer yesterday afternoon. Getting in and out of the car was not too much of a problem. It was sitting in the car that was a bit uncomfortable. It might be a week or two more before I'm comfortable sitting in most situations.

Dilating is coming along though it's not my favorite thing to do. It's kind of uncomfortable and not much fun, that's for sure. 🙄

Other than that, everything is good. :)

Hi Everyone,

Well it's Saturday morning and I'm up early as usual. My sleeping patterns have not completely returned to normal as of yet.

I'm doing real well on my recovery. Everything is healing nicely. The bruising is completely gone and the swelling is down by 70% or so. I'm continuing to do my daily dilations and take my twice a day sitz baths as recommended by my local doctor which I feel has helped with the swelling as well as other things like my hemorrhoids. 😄

I'm actually feeling well enough to possibly go out a bit tonight to the local club. It's been awhile since I've seen the other girls and I'd like get out for a cocktail or two. Been sitting around the house so much that I'm starting to look like the place, if you know what I mean? 🙄

I'm still awaiting my revised birth certificate from the state. It will be so nice to finally have the right information on it and to have taken one more step in erasing all traces of that former person. The one that I've never been from the start. :) I'll even be able to get a passport now if I need one.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you that have been so kind to contact me, either by phone or by posting on my thread. I really do appreciate hearing from all of you.
