Hi Everyone,
This past Wednesday was the one year anniversary of me going full time in living my life, 24/7, as me. It was an uneventful passing but gave me pause on how good my life has been over the past 12 months.
First, it doesn't seem like a full year, maybe 6 months at the most. I guess it goes along with the old saying "time flies when you're having fun" and it has been a lot of fun, that's for sure.
I've made some many new friends through my transition as well as losing a few along the line, but the gain more than compensates for the loss.
There has been some good things happening on the family front. Two weeks ago we had a small party at our home for my spouse's family. Several of her sisters as well as her mother and one of her brothers and his spouse were in attendance. There was some really good conversations and a lot of intelligent questions asked. It was so nice to finally meet them as my real self. I received a good reception from everyone and I felt it went real well. Finally, some acceptance by family.
On another good note, I'm only five weeks away from my date with the surgeon for GRS. As the date gets closer, it's getting harder to contain my excitement. My spouse is having a "going away party", if you know what I mean

on Tuesday night, September 16th. If anyone's in the area, let me know, you're more than welcome to attend.
