If you feel just sexually aroused when you think about this, then this can be relatively quickly tested by using chemical castration.

Have you thought realistically about this? I.e. what you will do, and how you will live your daily life after this.

Imagine situations where you want to go to the gym. People in the changing rooms will see this. How about going for medical sceening, going for a swim in summer time? Going through the new type AirPort security checks ('undressing' X-ray machines, that already are being tested in Britain... other countries may follow), etc.

What will hapen, when (and if) you will have this done, you will not have sex drive anymore, and there will not be any fun in this? Novelity of plumbing change can evaporate quickly, and then you may end up in very miserable state.

I feel I should come to the defense of both Jonathan and Polar Thong.

My own interest in the idea of being a gay man with a vag is simple but admittedly confusing. I am a "bottom" trapped in the body of a "top."

The problem is that I actually HATE being on the receiving end of anal intercourse. While appealing in concept, it f***ing HURTS!! (In my experience anyway). In addition, unless the bottom partner really enjoys anal penetration, there is a fundamental inequality at work. Heterosexual coupling is biologically complementary - (ignoring for the moment our global social history of misogyny, I'm referring only to 'putting things into other things'). For me (important qualifier), homosexual coupling involves a biological trade-off or hierarchy. Admittedly this has much to do with the pain involved - other gay men have very different experiences with penetration.

I do not wish to live as a woman - or to present myself as a woman. I'm a man who likes being a man. However ..... if the plumbing were a bit different down below, I can imagine a genuinely mutual satisfying man-2-man intercourse. Notice I didn't say male-2-male, because technically there is only one male involved in the aforementioned fantasy.

I am very happy for Polar Thong. She chose the path that I believe she was destined for. But that is not my destiny.

In fact, I don't even know if 'vaginoplasty-only' is my destiny, as intriguing as it is. I'm currently quite happy with my existing equipment, and am in a happy relationship. That said, I fantasize about it A LOT. (And these fantasies are certainly powerful). But for the moment, it is only a fantasy.

That said, I fully understand the irony at work here in both of our cases. Polar Thong is now a woman ... and I am currently content with my genitalia. Yet we both still 'poke' in on a Eunuch Message board.

Maybe you are confused TS, like she was? Denial of being TS (for whatever reason - social, personal acceptance etc.), may be the other thing.

Nope - if only it ere that simple. In many of my discussions with Polar, I kinda knew he was eventually heading to she. (And to that I say, U go Grrl!)

But that's not me .... I've always had a fem side, but it's only part, definitely not the whole. People who are TS identify with/as the opposite gender - I do not. I've always identified as a man, albeit a sometimes androgynous one.

I checked the link and remembered that I read about this guy (i.e. group owner) before.

He has strange view to penile skin inversion vaginoplasty iterpreting it as inverted penis (for whatever reason that interpretation is done..).

In my opinion people like him are guys with female external genitalia. It is a fantasy that such people have inverted penises (as he claims), as technically what is constructed during the surgery is vagina. Male bits are gone. A bit of skin from male bits is not male bits, the same way as skin (or a bit of muscle) from ones leg or hand is not their leg or hand, and if that skin is put on the face (say, to cosmetically correct severe burns for example), this does not make ones face their hand or leg.

Now why guy would like to do this I do not completely understand. It seems to me, that this desire qualify them as transgendered, as this surgical alteration moves them towards female in the gender spectrum, however, since they do not identify as females, nor have female blood chemistry (hormones) , they are not transsexual females.

You said that things are not simple. In many cases this complexity arises from confusion. The reality may (or may not) be a lot simpler. Often simple things can manifest in complex way in psychology.

As my avatar suggests I'd really like to have my penis surgically converted into a vagina, proper sex change surgery, clitoris, labia, to be orgasmic and work just like any other vagina. But the rest of me want to remain a man.

I know this get discussed about the web and I know I'm not the only one that wants this. I was wondering if anyone out there know of anyone who has had this done and is still living as a man.

A lot of transsexual urges turn out to be "autogynerotic". This means that you don't really want to be a woman, but you want to have free access to female body parts. Or similarly, your heterosexuality means you don't like looking at male bodies and have turned that aversion into disgust with your own genitals (that's part of my particular urge for genital removal).

It is hard to get unfettered access to an actual woman's private parts, even in a hot and heavy relationship, so it is tempting to turn our obsession to see/play into a desire to "own" that body part.

Maybe that has nothing to do with your case, but just wanted to let you know that it is not uncommon as a desire.
