Rita v. Eunuchs

Post by FianceeUvBigGuy (imported) »

Hi Gang,

Your pet eunuch admirer in Texas here.

Some of you may recall that our "pet" eunuch, Barry, has a eunuch friend (or 2, 3, who knows?) in the Houston area.

Well, guess who's coming to dinner. Ash(leigh) and I are hosting that guy and two others here until Rita has come (see:Orgasm) and gone. I don't know if the other two are eunuchs or not...but I intend to find out! 😄

Barry arrived last night, from Lubbock, to be with his buds in their time of stress.

Pray for Texas!

Yolanda--Den mother to the fixed folk of Texas. A tip of the hat to her, for making her domicile available to refugees from the storm. (Although I rarely wear a hat.) And, judging from news reports, it seems likely that the fellows who lodged at her residence, will have homes to go back to, since the storm was less severe than anticipated.

If I recall correctly, in the gay community, women who habitually socialize with gay men, are called, "fag hags." I wonder what an appropriate designation would be, for women who are favorably disposed toward eunuchs--Spade maids? Gelding Gals? Steer Dears? Eunuch Eunices? (That last one is hard on the tongue.) In any case, it does seem that ladies who are friendly toward eunuchs, are generally appreciated by those in the eunuch community, and provide a welcome milieu of acceptance.

The mention about contacts between desexed folk in different cities, reminds me of something which might be worth researching for someone. I had no idea, before accessing this archive, that there might have been, in North America, something like a loose association of persons in cities in different parts of the country, interested in castration and eunuchs--an informal grouping which, it seems, might have endured since as early as the thirties of the last century. If something on this order has in fact existed--people involved in the "eunuch community" who have known about each other and associated with each other, over considerable distances, and through a long period of time, it could be the subject of a fascinating sociological study.

For myself, if I wanted to locate people interested in eunuchism, and also wanted to locate those who had opted for voluntary orchiectomy, I would have no idea how to locate them, were it not for the existence of this online forum and others like it. Yet, somehow, it appears that castration wannabes and cutters found each other over the decades, people in different areas of the country knew about each other, and, in general, there was something akin to a clandestine underworld of those interested in eviration. The development of associations of this type between people is fascinating--it perhaps has to do with the "six degrees of separation" theory. Just how do people of this type find each other? What sorts of connections are there between them? Is the gay community a social grouping through which this is done, both for gay persons and for those who are straight?

Beyond that, the development of a eunuch community could well be studied as something which contains characteristics typical of the development of social groupings of any type, over long distances, and in "shadowy" circumstances.

Something that somebody could think about looking into. And perhaps the history of how this sort of thing developed, could be written up, perhaps by someone like Gelding, who apparently knows quite a lot about it.
