I think the Ten Commandments can be interpreted in ways that make them still applicable, but most of the detailed laws in the Pentateuch reflect a state of development which much of the world has outgrown.

Technically it is correct that the new testament did away with the old. Why Christians include the old testament in the Bible or pay any attention it I have no clue.

If I were a Christian, I'd be one of the new testament variety. From what I remember from my Christian days, Christ replaced all of the laws, and following Christ comes from keeping the laws my daddy mentioned.

Simple enough it would seem. And yet very few Christians can keep those two laws. Most of those I have met are filled with hate in their hearts. To date I have known three people I would call true Christians. And yes, my daddy is one of the three :)

But I still enjoy poking fun at Christianity using the old testament. I think what my Princess shared is cute :)

:) ;) As we study Gods word, the new testament will cross reference the old. The old testament is prophetic and after the Christ is the fulfillment. But it is as of foolishness to the natural man/women. People/believers in God, were looking towards the Christ/Savior for the coming of the Christ child to fulfill all those old prophecies. Thats why all believers who were dead in Christ were seen in the streets walking around after the crucifiction and resurrection.

It will happen again after the second coming of Jesus.

Gods Speed,Leona :) :)

At least this is what believers, believe. There are probably spelling mistakes, forgive me.

Some rules of the old testament are obsolete as they are overruled by the new covenant set up by Jesus' sacrifice.

The main rule, as said by the man himself, is to love your neighbour. Not point out his sins or judge him. Judging on earth is Old Testament, now all judging will be done in heaven.

I know many homosexuals, many drunkards, people who sleep around, druggies, blasphemers, petty theifs and even satanic worshippers; many of them are among my best friends. I don't judge them, they are all sinners, but so am I. I have no right to judge them, to quote the Bible: How can you remove the speck in your brothers eye when you have a plank in your own. Only one with no sin can judge, in other words only GOD himself can judge.

By showing these people the love of God in my life, which is love no matter what you do or are, I can set an example, an advert for Him.

Incedentally whilst the Old testament commands men to not cut their hair and woman to have shaved heads the New testament commands the opposite; this was so that the Christians would be apart from the Jews.

It's definitely a joke; one that's made the rounds of forwarded emails all over for a long time: See the Snopes article here. (http://http://www.snopes.com/politics/r ... rlaura.asp)
