Will the evicted people of new Orleans or Louisiana etc receive some of the work-dollars to help rebuild the city with all those Millions coming in or will that go to "outsiders" .
Will the evicted people etc etc keep all the "property " rights , their homestead, the "house" and debree, their pets etc and have real; access to it again soon.?
Yes I wonder about the better purpose of government other than squander and steal or deny etc ://n3rf.triode.com and other examples I am sure exist to study
I keep wondering if we in an open society, the USA , can improve and improve repidly if the goal is set and new guidelines of interpreting out CONSTITUION is made. I think we can do it, but do we care enough to do it??/Regards N3RF

Re: A "Christian" view of Katrina
I think everybody belives in a god.
It does not mean we see god the same way.
I believe in the gods. Mother earth ruler of the earth and moon, and Father sky who is the sun and stars. There are more but I will let them go for now.

I suppose it is natural to respond according to our worldview. If one believes in a higher power, then He might be trying to get our attention. If one believes all is chance, then there's no point looking for a message.
This thread brought to mind an interesting event in ancient Greece:
http://www.grmi.org/renewal/Richard_Ris ... 24evi.html
"In the sixth century B.C., Epimenides had been summoned from Crete to Athens when the people of Athens were experiencing a terrible plague. None of the Gods of Athens had been able to deliver them of the plague, and the Pythian oracle indicated that there was a god that remained unappeased. Nicias of Athens was to summon Epimenides from Knossos, Crete, who would know how to appease the offended god. After Epimenides arrived in Athens, he obtained a flock of black and white sheep and released them on Mars Hill, instructing the people to mark the places where any of them lay down at the beginning of their grazing period. When a number of sheep rested, the Athenians offered them in sacrifice upon unnamed altars built for this purpose, and the plague lifted from the city."
Interesting. Although their city was filled with gods, there was yet another god who wanted to be acknowledged. And when he was acknowledged (not even by name, only as 'unknown god'), the plague lifted.
