Here I set thinking about my life. Being my birthday it is good to reflect on the past year and your life. A year ago my wish for a birthday gift was to be castrated. That did not happen on my birthday but was lucky to have it done 5 days later. It has been a most interesting year of my life. So many good things have happened. A life long dream of being a eunuch came through. My life partner moved in with me to share our lives together. My best friend moved in with us as well.

I made many new friends in the past year from this site. Sorry to say I lost a few along the way. The ones that remain I am so thank full for. I was lucky to meet several of them in June this year at an Eunuch meeting. In two weeks I will meet many more at the next meeting. This site has become my family. This site even gave me a early birthday present with a promotion in the chat room. I am so thankful for that. 🙏

Am I a happier person in the last year? Yes, in so many ways. For me being without testosterone has made me be able to make and WANT to have friends. Possibly one of the hardest things along that line is the loss of a few friends. Without testosterone running through my veins I am able to forgive and forget far more easy. I would never had expected the degree in which I have changed in personality.

I do not like birthdays and that is why I stopped having them at age 29. Long live 29.

for me. Yes it is a choice that I made for myself. Over all I only have one down side to being an eunuch. The other effects or side effects are not all that major or I like them. If I had a choice on doing it again I would with out question.

I am very happy being an eunuch. I have been one for over 3.5 years if you count

made many very good friends in this site. I meet my life partner in here as well. We are coming up on our first anniversary in September. My best friend was also found in this site. This is my second family. I am so thankful finding this site back in 1998. It gave me new hope and made me feel more normal in seeing that others have the same desires and feelings.

While returning from the West Coast Eunuch Meeting I was trying to go back to look at my transition into an eunuch. I will explore some of the things that I have done in the past 20 or so years in achieving my goal. I can go back to my pre teen days in my desires.

Some things I know the dates of. I know I was actively looking for information on being castrated in the mid 80'. That is actually trying to be done. I did publish my desired in two publications in the 80's and 90's. If you have been around a long time in this subject you may recognize the publications ENIGMA and BCQ. I corresponded with many people about what it was to be an eunuch and such. Had a line on a doctor in MN back then but it fall through.

I am trying to find the date when I started the herbal castration stuff. I am thinking it was 10 years ago that I started taking things to reach my goal. Know it was the year I went fishing in the boundary waters in Canada. Thinking it was 1996.

Doctor Finds OUT.

Today was a day that I dreaded to see. Last week I got blood drawn. Today I went to the doctor to discuss the results. He went over some of the numbers and was over all very happy with the improvement. The drugs are working for me. Then I got my PSA results. < 0.1 ng/ml. That is about as low as you can for that test. Then he started to thumb through blood tests for the past few years. He looked very concerned, then came out, and said that my testosterone levels were the lowest he has ever seen. He went on talking a little about that then I said that I had a bilateral orchiectomy. That really caught him off guard. He then went on to say that explains the numbers.

He then started asking questions on how I was handling the lack of testosterone. Asked all the normal questions and then offered me testosterone jell or patches. I told him that I am OK with how my body was adjusting. He left it open if I ever wanted to get some all I have to do is call the office.

I was so relieved that he did not ask too many questions as to when where and how I was castrated. I said that it was due to an injury. He put on my chart that I had the bilateral orchiectomy due to trauma. I was OK with that. I left the office so much relieved and happy.

Here are the numbers I got from the test blood test.

Testosterone Free and Total -----------------1.8 pg/ml Normal male range is 47.0 -244.0 pg/ml

Testosterone Total ----------------------------8.0 ng/dl Normal male range is 350-890 ng/dl

With that number of 8 there is little questioning that I am an eunuch. My adrenal gland is putting out almost nothing. Guess this really show that I have had my sex change.

One interesting thing is that I thought that I was chemically shut down with androcur just prior to my castration. March of 2005 my Testosterone level was 47.1 ng/dl, While I felt no change I guess I must have had a small physical and mental changes in the past year or so.

I recently shared with my new doctor that I was a eunuch. He took that info in stride. Of course he was more concerned about my blood pressure being elevated. I was so nervous about telling him I was a eunuch that I was not surprised the numbers were up. The next time I go I am going to ask for a bone density test. Now that I have broken the ice I can ask for the care I may need as a eunuch.

I am glad you let your doctor know. I know how hard it can be to share that news but for good health care he needs to know. I was rather proud of myself when I left the doctor's and you should also be proud.

This reply is directed to Bobbie and Tugon, and perhaps others on this board. Please do not be offended by my remarks.

I am concerned that someone would see a doctor -- supposedly on a repetitive basis, and be reluctant to share with said doctor ***all*** facts related to health. Castration dramatically affects hormones among other things, and hormones dramatically affect how the body functions. Are you seeing the wrong doctor (meaning one you do not trust or perhaps one would not comprehend the implications thereof), or is this a personal issue that should be worked on (worked out, worked through, etc.)?

Sincerely,

BudleyBare

I have 2 female doctors

I never told them I was castrated I just continued to go for my yearly checkups and she never said one word when my testicles were not there. I had this doctor for 25 years.

I also had asked if she would please remove my testicles a few years earlier so maybe she had a idea that the testicals were going to disappear eventually.

My urologist retired a year ago so I found a female urologist. She gave my empty scrotum a very intense and long exam saying something about looking for scar tissue.Other than that no big deal.

Good question BudleyBare. My old doctor retired so I am speaking of the first visit to a new doctor. He was more shocked that I had been on medication for high blood pressure without being seen in the office for 2 and 1/2 years than my being a eunuch. Prior to this new doctor I worked for the same health system the doctor did and I was in management. I did not want the top management to think I might have too many issues to be in management since I had myself castrated. The president was very homophobic so maintaing my position was tough enough without the news that I was also a eunuch. Of course with his prejudice maybe he would think I made the right choice. Back to the subject at hand, I will be asking for all the proper tests now that the ice has been broken. As always thanks for your thoughts and concerns.

Very respectfully,

I am relieved, at least in your case, because there is a rational thread of logic that I can understand and appreciate. Thanks for the additional information.
