That is for vet use, not human use.

The use of Neutersol in stories here is fiction.

I've already had one go-around with someone claiming to be from the Neutersol company, demanding we remove all reference here to their product. I refused and told them to sue me. So far, no reply. That was about a year ago.

So if you want to contact them, don't mention The Archive.

There are several posts about Androcur and Depo Provera, etc., all over the Boards. Use the search feature for these. You can also search up Scottie's posts on injecting his testicles with lactic acid that went very very wrong.

There are also several posts on alcohol injection - ethanol (drinkable) based one, not methanol, which would either kill you or make you wish you were dead with the damage it would do.

As far as there being something totally safe that you can easily inject into yourself to achieve castration, I don't know what it would be.

There was some talk a while back about Gonex, a drug that was to be injected once and cause permanent 'castration' effects. There's not much new on their site, though; it's not a wealth of info.

Thanks Paolo. But what is the big differense with us and a dog if You assume same body size?? Neutrasol with a Zink compund seems to be very effective for Dogs and what makes us so different ?? I would imagine there is a great difference. Why don't drug companies use dogs for testing on human vaccines? Probably because humans are not like them. We have a completly different structure both mentally and physically. The two species are affected by different things, differently.

Burdizzos work on Bulls but not well at all on humans for example.

Somethings just do not translate between species, while other things do (such as Paolo with a castration blender in his hands).

You are right on the money.

We have an ad campaign here on the radio for horse farmers to get their stock a West Nile Virus vaccination. OK, so where is the HUMAN form of it, then?! Are the horses more important than the kids!? Will the horse shot work for me? Who knows?

Just another example of what's good the Veterinary is not good for the person...

All in all, it goes back to the fact that we are not farm animals.

Neutersol does NOT castrate. It simply neuters (i.e. makes infertile). It is more like a vasectomy than castration.

Gonex (www.gonex.com) promises to be much better as it will be a single shot to castrate and is being researched for human use (cancer of course).

I don't think Gonex is on the market yet. It is basically in the class of autoimmune drugs that basically get your own immune system to destroy the specific cells that are key to sex hormone production. Interestingly it also works on women. It is similar to a vaccine against the intermediate hormones in the sex hormone cycle.

Anyway, there are many researchers looking at immunocastration. Not sure how one would obtain a sample though. I do expect something in the next few years, since it would be a big boon to the veterinary industry and also potentially a good cancer treatment for humans.
