Uroligist in NC?
If any one has had any sucess with finding a uroligist in North Carolina willing to perform an elective orchiectomy, please let me know their information. I have been unable to locate any, and would prefer if possible to get it done locally, and hopefully less expensively then Philadephia. Thanks.

You're probably not going to find this type of surgery cheaper somewhere else. Most urologists would not perform such surgery in their own office as Kimmel does, and the use of a hospital would add significantly to the cost. I had carpal tunnel surgery during the summer. It's a much simpler procedure, yet the combined cost (doctor, hospital, anesthesiologist) was about $4000, so $2000 is quite reasonable.
