Hello, I am Shonna! I wanted to see what the group was about. I am a 26 year old man living in Texas who has accepted his gendewr identity problem and is taking action about it.
I have always known I was different, especially from a physiological perspective. Despite three two years of 4-5 days in the week at the gym, I still have a feminine figure; very hia and bottom heavy andI also have gyno (naturally, not from anabolics). Secondly, I have always been emotionally connected with myself, and have had no real sexual desire for women or men. It was only until I slept with a TV did I finally find what my true attraction was as well as what I wanted to be all along.
Regarding Chemical Castration, I would like to tell you what I have tried so far. I tested the waters earlier my taking spirotone, 100 mg initially, ending at 200 mg per day. The first time I took it, I did urinate frequently. Of course I drink a lot of water naturally. I also increased my salt intake and craved salt (a side effect of the hormone aldactone). I took it for three weeks, and my libido slipped a little and I was somewhat calmer. When I came off of it, I could tell a difference.
My second try was with oral medryxprogesterone acetate (Provera). I took it for about two weeks, 10 mg a day. I initially had a slight verilization, but my libido tapered down over the period. I would say that towards the end, my libido was lower than normal. I realize the Depo is what will really kill the drive, but I was not willing to rick the possibility of anafectic shock!
---These were all tests that did not involve any feminization, or the risk was very low for the brief time I took them.
Currnetly I am taking the next step. I now take 150 mg spirotone, 5 mg of finasteride per day using the estraderm 50 patch. I have been on it for about three weeks now, and I can tell a difference! My ejaculate lacks sperm or has minute traces and the volume of semen is reduced. I have slight gynomastia of my breast from years of heavy bench-pressing which is to my benefit. Since I have started my regimen, my nipples stick out more often and I am seeing lots of bumps rise in the aereola. My erections are less frequent but can still be aroused; however they are not so strong. I have clarity of thought and my temperment is quite stable. I aslo feel more feminine and my physical actions are displayed much more easier. I still have lots of strength and endurance, but I do find when I am idle, I get more tired than before. All in all, I am very pleased with the results so far as it has only been three weeks. I purchase my stuff from inhouse pharmacy on the web, and it runs about 75 bucks a month.
Well, there you go....I check in later when something else changes!!!

Hi and welcome
I've only been here a few weeks, but I can tell you this is a great place to be.
I purchase my hormones from the same place you do, but my regimen is a little different. I do not take any anti-androgens since I am surgically castrated, but I have toyed with the idea of adding a small dose of spiro. I will probably have my T levels tested within the next month and see where they stand.
I was using the estraderm 25 patch up until now, but tomorrow I switch to 2 mg estrofem split into two daily does. I have been on the patch for a couple of weeks and have noticed some emotional effects as well as slight swelling of the areola/nipples. Daytime spontaneous erections are gone, and mornings are decreasing.
Rumor has it that androcur is much more effective than spiro, and it can purchased from the same pharmacy. But it is much more expensive and can be bad for the liver. With spiro the main thing is watching your potassium, especially at the dose you mentioned. You don't want to eat too many bananas

When I first started on these chemicals, I thought it would take months before I shot blank. Damn...who thought such sterols with their carbon, oxygen and hydrogen atoms could be so effective!
Yeah, I saw the androcure, cheezes that stuff is expensive!!! I think for the money and risk, spiro is good...I just cannot drink as much V-8 and bananans like I used to. I don't smoke, don't drink, so I figure that my liver will be fine without these chemicals. Finasteride is the 5 alpha reductase blocker thingy for DHT, and from what I know, it doesn't effect electrolyte balance. However we all know it does effect the hair on the head (a plus) and reduces the prostate.
I still have provera but I am not taking that now...maybe after a month I will do it again. But right now I like what I am on. One negative thing I have seen is white heads or zits above my eyebrow. I always have had great skin, never having acne as a teen. I am going to watch this carefully. I can only reason that my body is simply adjusting or the testosterone is "fighting" back.

Finasteride only blocks about 2/3 of DHT. There is another one you can buy at inhouse that is supposed to block nearly 100%.
How much problems have you had with the head hair? I've had only a little bit at the temples but it was clearly getting worse. All I can do now is hope it gets better or at least not any worse.

I actually had quite a bit of acne prior to castration and it does look like it could be clearing up a bit. As long as you have your testicles it will be quite a battle between T and E.
