For all of our Canadian members:

Prof. Richard Wassersug taped a half hour interview about castration and eunuchs for the “Sounds Like Canada” show on CBC Radio. It was one result of he and Talula marching as the “Eunuch Unit” in the Halifax Pride Parade last Saturday.

This is the message that just came in this morning from the producer...

It is scheduled to air Wednesday, July 27 at 10:30. Sometimes they change things at the last minute, and it could end up in another part of the show - either at 10:06 or 11:06. But it's unlikely it'll be moved at this point.

I'll let you know what kind of response we get from listeners.

By the way - Sounds Like Canada is replayed through the time zones. So the interview will be on at the same time on the local clock in every part of the country, except Newfoundland where it's on a half hour later.

For what it is worth, it is a VERY explicit interview, covering for example, much of what I discuss in my OUT magazine article. The article is in fact mentioned in the interview. I have gotten a lot of positive email for my actions and interviews in the last week, but this is the first time I might reach a large number of castrated prostate cancer patients and I sure hope it is more helpful than scary for them. [Yes, I am anxious about the reactions I will get...]

CBC Radio is also broadcast over the Internet, so non-Canadians also have a chance to hear the interview. Those in Canada need to consider providing some positive feedback.
