But yes, it was a serious mistake, and I am very much regretful. Right now I have someone telling me what a terrible person I am, and he is right. I really screwed things up for a lot of people, and I could even be responsible for people's deaths because of this. I would understand if everyone would like me to leave. Would that be best?
Don't you dare leave, Plix, and please stop beating yourself up! This place is your home and there are lots of loving people here; some of the finest and kindest people you will meet... and some of them aren't even eunuchs!
I did have a serious infection after my castration and needed a second surgery, and believe me, I was the talk of my urological clinic when I got back from Philadelphia. My regular urologist shouted at me so loudly that the whole office and waiting room heard. A good portion of his patients are males with various forms of sexual dysfunction, and he is accustomed to hearing one or another version of, "Fix me, doc! My weenie won't work!"
It's pretty hard for physicians like that to understand those of us whose "fix" is emasculation.
Be assured that Dr Kimmel has run into a snag or two before this. Prior to my surgery he and I discussed the litiginous nature of our society and how more doctors would be doing what he is doing if they weren't so afraid of law suits. I believe he can weather the storm. When a doctor and patient agree on a mode of treatment, there is no impropriety or breach of ethics. Had he castrated you without your consent, that would definitely be cause for a flap.
If being a eunuch is what you truly wanted in life, be of good cheer!
Welcome to our gender!
