What to do?

Post by plix (imported) »

The estrogen I ordered came yesterday :) . It's only a low dose, the lowest transdermal dose available, so it's probably not going to do much. But the question is when I do I start?

I could start anytime now, and my impatience is kicking in. But I was thinking I should at least wait until the T gets out of my system, right? Then again, I'm not getting any younger, and each day that passes means a little bit less of an effect.

And then from the TG side of things, I don't know if I'm ready. I feel ready, but at the same time, I'm scared.

:) ;) Hi Dear! I'd get that patch on ASAP, it will help with the hot flashs. The T will leave quickly. Hugs, Leona 👥 💋

Well, this is it. I managed to put the first patch on last night. So July 14th will always be remembered as the day I started hormones (as well as the day of the Kimmel situation - maybe I should have waited till a different day :-\ ).

This is no longer a game or a fantasy or a dream that may someday come true but probably never will. It's actually happening. Will I make it?

Congratulations!

This should be remembered as a good day. A day you took to start the proccess that will make a difference in your life, to become the person you've always wanted to be. It also shows that you have succeeded in making a goal, one of many goals yet to come.

Don't set huge goals to try and achieve. Set smaller goals that are more likely easier to obtain. For every goal that you reach you will gain confidence and it will give you more incentive to reach the next.

The unknown is always a scarey thing to face. We all must come to terms with this uncertainty. I wish I could tell you everything will be fine as time goes on, but I can't. It's never easy doing what we feel has to been done. The best advice I can give you is to be prepared for anything. There are going to be good times as well as bad. I hope there are many more good ones.

Christina's advice is, as always, on the mark.

That, and you have us to talk to - by Boards or otherwise - in times of need.
