Hot Flashes

Post by bigtwin (imported) »

I am so sick of hot flashes I could scream.

Has anyone here not on hrt ever quit having them?

It's been a year and they seem to be getting more intense with time.

I feel your anguish. I hope they will stop some day for both of us.

Hi bigtwin, I am sick of the hot flashes too. I am comming on 3 years and they have not slowed yet. What more can I say.

I have found a herbal supplement that seems to help call Soy Isoflavones. Try it and see what you think.

Twin,

Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble (as well as everything else).

Here's a thought: Have you tried any of the OTC brands used by women for these symptoms? I know you don't want any HRT, but I don't think and OTC brand would be considered as such.

You may want to try Black Cohosh. It is said to help with hot flashes. I still take it even though I no longer get the hot flashes. Do not know if it is proventing them or not.

I still haven't had a single hot flash, but as I've learned I'll probably get them eventually if I don't start hrt. I kind of would like to have some because that would let me know for sure the T levels are dropping :)

Well, when you get some, I can send the kid right over to douse you with ice water...a large glass of it...in a crowded restaraunt, too.

HOT FLASHES

I took a chemical castration drug for a year before being cut and after a few months my T level was near zero.

On day at work while talking with a couple co-workers and my project leader I had the worst hot flash ever. I turned red, broke out in a sweat to the point I started to fan myself. My boss said, "are you all right", I laughed and said I think it was a hot flash. Everybody laughed, these three gals totally discounted that what I was having was in fact a hot flash.

Some times the truth is so wrong that you just dont believe it.
