Castration without testicle removal
hi all-
I was curious about surgical castration. I know that Sag said he recently was castrated and his doctor only removed the core of his testicles.
i am interested in this operation, as i believe I might have issues with self-consciousness or depression if I no longer have testicles.
Believe me, I am in no way attached to those stupid organs down there, but if i did remove them, i would also want the scrotum removed for convenience and aesthetics.
however, I would much prefer just having the cores removed... just to feel comfortable if a situation arose such as public showers or any intimate relationship.
Does anyone know of a Dr. that does this procedure? Kimmel is not an option i would really consider, and I'm curious if a transexual doctor would do this?
what are the requuirements for a trans doctor to do this operation on someone.
I know sex-changes are somewhat common, and it would be much easier finding one of them to do it rather than a castration specialist... assuming they would operate on me if I didn't want a sex change.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Castration without testicle removal
Just curious depobeginner,
If the inner portion of the testicle is removed, does all testosterone production stop?
If yes, you do know the male sex organs shrink in size. That means the remains of your testicles will become much smaller even though it stays in the sack. Your penis will become much smaller and if you're already a small dicked guy, it may look juvenile. As you stated, self-consciousness could cause issues down the road with small testicles and a smaller penis.
If no, you will get the desired affect.
Best of luck and keep up posted on your thought process or physical changes.

Re: Castration without testicle removal
the surgery to remove quote "the core" unquote of the testicles is simply the removal of the testicals without removing the membranes that surround them. Now if you are planning on having your scrotum removed the testicals and their membranes should be removed oterwise you will have extremely tender lumps of flesh right under the skin.
Just my $.02

Re: Castration without testicle removal
Hey depo beginner --
What you are thinking about is technically called a "bilateral subcapsular orchiectomy" which is where the doctor basically guts your testicles. From my understanding it completely removes the leydig cells which produce testosterone, so you will be the equivalent of castrated.
I had a friend get the proceedure a couple years ago from Kimmel (who as far as I know is quite capable still, you shouldn't write him off for considering the proceedure). He was quite happy with the results, and was impressed with the painlessness of the operation. After about a year he said he was impotent but still looked "like a man" down there.
P.S. what ever happened with your Depo Provera use? Are you still on it, and what has been your experience?

If you're thinking seriously about castration and are concerned about continuing to look like a man (presumably a man w/o testicles, then no matter whether you have just the testicular cores removed or the testicles in their entirety, I'd give a 2nd thought to having the scrotum removed. I had the entirety of the testicles removed, but maintained the scrotum - now quite shrunken 5 yrs later. I have a cock (a bit larger than average size), and no one doubts I'm a man (naked or clothed). Partly because the scrotum's still there, hardly anyone notices I'm castrated, and I'm nude in public a lot. Depression is much more a concern than anyone noticing the status of your testicles, much less being concerned if they notice or not. Just think about it carefully. Once removed, your organs are gone for the duration.

Re: Castration without testicle removal
Thanks for all the replies everyone.
I'd want have implants or have the insides removed just to appear un-castrated... but if i did have the testicles removed, i'd want the scrotum removed as well because i've heard it can be uncomfortable, as it is sometimes already.. and it seems that no sac would look somewhat better than an empty one. I have no real basis to say anything though..
yes, i am still trying depo.. I got off for awhile and all the horrors of testosterone came back full forces, seemingly stronger than ever before I took depo. Deviant sexual thoughts beyond my partner, agression, impatience, acne, body hair. UGH. no i've been on it for awhile with minimal effects. I started with a 1/2 shot (75 mg.) every two weeks... wasn't satisfied so I went to 1 full shot (150 mg) every two weeks... still nothing major. Now i've almost taken two shots every two weeks and am starting to feel different.
I think my mistake was my dosage at the beginning. Androcur recommends taking high doses until desired effects are acheived, then reducing the dose.
I think from my small beginning doses, I may have built a tolerance to the depo. I mean, I literally had over 6 shots in me over the course of 3 months and hadn't felt much at all.
I hope that the boost of the two shots will give my the results I had originally acheived over a year ago, and then I can begin to taper off the shots.
I guess it's like drinking... if you have a beer an hour for 6 hours, you might not feel too drunk.
but if you slam 4 at the beginning, then have two more over the next 6 hours, you'll probably be a lot more drunk than slowly pacing it.
i guess i'm more curious about the possibilities and options behind surgery rather than serious considering it an option at this point.
It could very well be in the future though.
I thank you all for you replies again, very helpful

Re: Castration without testicle removal
depobeginner -- to me your dose of depo provera seems really high. I know that depo provera "really" kicks in when it shuts down the hormonal pathway between the brain and testicles, and then your testicles shut down.
right now you may mainly be experiencing the progesterone added to your body by the injections -- while your testicles are still working. I would suspect this is because you are so young.
Androcur is much more powerful in it's ability to shut down your testicles. My bet is that if you went on 100mg of Androcur per day, you could lower the amoung of Depo Provera you took.
Anyone else out there take both Depo and Androcur together?

Re: Castration without testicle removal
If you want to be castated but not look that way consider implants.
If you are going to a real Dr. Silimed make solid silicone implants, Mentor make saline field ones.
if not www.neuticles.com have many sizes. solid silicone.
I went with the NN-EBM medium bull balls.

um.. i was curious.
Neuticals is implantations for pets.
Isn't there some concern that this is not suitable or comparable for a human body?
Have you had any problems?
And why do animals need impants? that's just wierd
thanks for the info though

Although the application is not approved for humans, the material is FDA approved for humans.
If you visit the site there are answers to your question as to why pets need implants. mostly to make owners feel better about "fixing" fido.
