Hi, All,
I am scheduled for a bilateral orchiectomy in July. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do or not do?

Re: Surgery
I can recomend a few things for the weeks before surgery. lay off salt asprin and caffeene, eat more protein, and most important of all get lots of sleep.

Re: Surgery
Thanks for the info. The aspirin will be easy as I don't use it anyway, but the coffee will be a bit difficult as it IS the nectar of the Gods! Beef .. it will be for dinner. I will just have to tell the boss I need to sleep at work!

Re: Surgery
I wouldn't worry too much about the coffee but I would lay off the asprin for 2 weeks before and after the oper. Actually if you heal well 1 week after is probably ok. Check with your med. adivisor. I do very strongly advise you to keep very clean and get out of whatever med facility you use as soon as possible. The urgent thing is to avoid methicillin resist. Staph.
