How to pee after penectomy, need help from someone has been penectomied.

Post by nolnoy (imported) »

I want to have a penectomy, but I want to know how to pee after penectomy. The urethra will open at the terminal of the penis or it will shift to the centre of the scrotum and the anus. Which way is better? And how to control pee? At last I want to know, if i want to open the urethra at the centre of the scrotum and the anus, how to do this surgical? Could someone tell me the detail or sent me some pictures about the new pee hole. Is it easy and comfort to pee with the new pee hole???

Thanks.

Philip,

I think he is trying to do research ... here.

Nolnoy,

While women certainly don't need a penis to pee, the penis does have some urinary control aspects that will be lost. Most older women end up peeing whenever they laugh ...

There are certainly men who get urethral relocation, but also others who just have a stub of a penis. Both types seem to be performed for legitimate (i.e. cancer) penectomies, and I am not aware of whether one method is particularly preferred. The medical literature seems to indicate they leave a stub if there is sufficient urethra to allow direction of urine (but don't say how long that needs to be). Note that even with a stub left, it is possible to have the suspensory ligaments cut so that the stub points almost straight down.

Perhaps Tom or other penectomized guy on this Archive can tell you more about their experience.

The Samui Clinic in Thailand give following description of their nullification procedure: http://sexchangeasia.com/pages/nullification.html

An interesting link: this one shows urethra relocated to abdomen http://www.doereports.com/enlargeexhibi ... 854&TC=&A=

This medical abstract notes a 20% "complication" rate for penectomy: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/quer ... t=Abstract

Regarding the substitution of a urostomy for the natural way of urinating, I can offer some information.

Mrs HH decided to have a urostomy as she was suffering troublesome leakage, due to MS. She thinks that it was a good move, although I think that she has swapped one problem with another. Leaks are a problem due to adhesive failure, and sometimes because of collection bag manufacturing faults. There is also the question of ensuring regular supplies in remote locations, and the costs may be considerable.

I have to say that oral sex is better, when she is well enough to want it.

Whether urinary infections are less of a problem with a urostomy, compared with a new urinary meatus located very close to the anus, I don't know.

A penis may not be the prettiest part of the anatomy, but it's a good tool for getting rid of waste water! Especially when undressing is inconvenient.
