The cats seem to have figured out that I am leaving tomorrow for an extended trip, and have been begging for affection all day. Even Max is now doing it.
But, yes, at 7 AM tomorrow I leave for Norman, Oklahoma. Brother Michel Andruschak (the real brains of the Andruschak family) has lent me a laptop that we hope will keep me connected from my hotel room in Norman. But if I am silent the next 10 days, you will know it didn't work. My fault, and apologies in advance.
Brother also wants me to drop AOL and go over to SBC-DSL when I get back, and I probably will. It takes a lot to get me motivated enough to change something in my life, but the time has come.
Back to the cats: Brother will be over every day to feed and water them and scoop out the litterboxes. Plus reassure them that they have not been abandoned. I will miss them.

My stay in Norman is 19-29 June. As such, I will celebrate Litha on 21 June and the Full Moon on 22 June. Sun and Moon at their strongest. I shall bring along some oracles for consultation during this favorable alignment.

My late cat Sisselia used to wait for a few hours after I returned from a trip. Then, after she had received lavish affection, she would sneak up on me and bite me hard enough to break skin. She always voiced her displeasure at abandonment.
