What was the diffrent doc you tried to get with?

Thanks!

Some guy who happened to be local (west coast). But I didn't want to have to get the damn letter. I should go back to that damn psych and say I did it and liked it!

Any nullos around here?

Tomas is. Gelding, as you can see from his picture, is. There may be others.

God willing, there will be more.

There are a couple more that I have seen, both were done by a cutter and it looks like it was done by a cutter with little experience if any.

The only way to do this is with a real Doctor like Kimmel.

I called a shrink when I started this and over the phone he knew I was ok with castration. I even had him laughing when I said it takes balls to have them cut off.

You said $6800, dose that include the hospital stay and all the other hidden charges?

good advice there from riverwind, best to get all the charges put in writting before you go ahead, then there will be no shock at the end :)

Kimmel is good for this. The castration was a straight $2000. Already did the castration (didn't you?). This is an outpatient operation (otherwise would be much higher).

I'd also ask his definition of nullification. Does mean rerouting the urethra to a point in front of the anus and removal of the penis all the way to its attachment at the pubic bone? Sometimes it means just the removal of the external appendages.

Let me see if I understand this --- $6800 for a full nullification and no letters from therapists required. Whoa! That's a great deal, provided there aren't any "hidden charges" added onto that $6800. Please keep us posted.

If $6800 is all you need, I could go by the bank on Monday.

I wouldn't be jumping that fast. I'd have a lot of questions that would need satisfactory answers before undergoing surgery. Among them:

Where is the surgery to take place?

I'd be very reluctant to have this done under general anesthesia in the doctor's office. Doctors' offices seldom have the necessary emergency equipment if something goes wrong.

How many medical people will be assisting?

I'd want an anesthesiologist to be monitoring the vital signs while the doctor does the cutting with the assistance of a surgical nurse.

What is the doctor's experience doing this kind of surgery and what results has he achieved? I don't want to be the guinea pig.

Uhhh,

Good thinking.

This is serious re-constructive surgery that will require a hospital stay and a plan to re-hab the patient.

There are things that you must be followed up for and minimally, three days of bed rest before doing little things like attempting to walk and urinate. It could take 7 to 10 days to be able to urinate without the aid of an in-dwelling catheter because of post-op swelling and/or bleeding and the older you are the longer it will take you to fully recover.

My money says that if this is done and you are cast out onto the street the same or the next day you will have to go to a hospital because you will probably experience post-op bleeding regardless of the skill of the surgeon.

You had better plan this. It is no small thing...regardless of if your thing is small or not.
