When I was at the Doctor's offices back in late March the interior was still in the process of being remodeled. It's my understanding, from posts made by others, that the work has been completed.

While his offices were crowded, because of the remodeling and the need to temporarily relocate, the actual procedure room was clean and orderly. As clean as most other procedure rooms in other Doctors offices.

I felt his skill level was very good. He takes the time to answer any and all questions and has a good bed side manner.

I had one minor problem after my surgery, but I may have contributed to that by being a little too active those first 6-7 days after. Oh well. All in all it worked out real well.

However the office dose look nice all n all it wasn’t clean, the floors filthy and the surface of some things still fresh with blood. An instrument dropped on the floor and was reused. My body was wiped down with a gauze dipped in a blood tainted wash pan.

Something about the place made me think " god is this the only way?".

However if someone where thinking to do it themselves, i would first strongly suggest just having it done threw kimmel, as a lost/last resort that is.

i am however thankful that some one out there who is a practicing doctor thinks about the people in our position. For whatever motivating reason, thank god someone dose what he doses.

Sounds like your experience with the good Doctor was quite a bit different than mine. I wondering how much Dr. Kimmel's housekeeping procedures have slipped since I was was there in March?

Are you having any problems with infections or with the stitches?

I know my lower two stitches were tough to get out.

It would be interesting to hear from any other recent "visitors" to the Doctor if their experience were similar to yours.

He was just as bad when I was there a few years back,Most unsterile place and technique I had ever seen. Didn't remove his bloody friggin gloves when going to answer a phone call.And returned and went right back to work with the same gloves on.murry kimmels house of horrors.

Do a search on my username and read the many posts on my experience with this guy,open oozing incission,infection,cord adhesions and then the last straw when I went back to him for a fix and he kept asking my birthdate and reason for coming to the office over and over. I ran like hell.

I then found a real doctor who had to remove the remainder if the cords via two inguinal and one scrotal incision.While the doctor was at it he repaired the rest of the mess in the remaining scrotal skin,I was laid up for 3 weeks thinking about kimmel.still leaves a bad taste.(twin)

I think it is very funny that this website so faithfully supports Dr. Kimmel and advertises his name as the only way to go while we see testimony after testimony that his facility is filty, that he uses unsterile instruments and that he does not check up on patients for after care. I think it can easily be said that this website gives it's viewers no choices at all for castration. It is just a subject out of question or something to get a big laugh over. Get with it administration and encourage some real legal and ethical doctors to recommend or just make castration a laughing point and not encourage anyone to pursue it. You have two choices.

There was a time, perhaps 20 or 30 years ago, when it was possible to find a practicing physician to do a voluntary castration. That was a completly different world than the one we live in now. Doctors are now second-guessed by everyone. they are no longer autonomous as they once were. As a result a surgery has to fit into a narrow definition of "medically necessary" or the doctor can be held to account by losing his license, his practice and even by prison time. Is it any wonder that doctors aren't willing to take that sort of risk? We, on this site, are always waiting to hear of professionals willing to castrate on demand. What do we hear? Silence. --FLO--
