I hope this is not off-topic, but does anyone have experience with or comments about being on both male and female HRT simultaneously? Not even the awesome Google has yielded me info on such a topic.
Many Archive regulars seek either or nor, but I wonder about those of us caught somewhere in the middle.
Can someone tell us from experience or knowledge what would be the effects of both at the same time? Thank you.
The only thing I can think of in regards to being on both testosterone and estrogen, would be to look at excessive steroid use in athletes. Guys do naturally have a little estrogen in their system. It's my understanding that you need some estrogen to have a libido and some of the free testosterone in your system is converted to estrogen. When athletes take abnormal amounts of testosterone or similar substances, the body has a tendency to convert the excessive testosterone into estrogen as a defensive mechanism. That's why some athletes have problems with "bitch tits". I'm not for sure if this helps, but it is a place to start looking for information.
I was on Depo Provera for two years befor i had my surgery and like you i did this on my own for the first three shots and then went to my doctor and told him what i was doing and how it had helped me so much to get my life back.He listened and prescribed 150mil every month for as long as i needed it but after two years i asked for the surgery and again he set this up for me.For the first time in my life i realey have a love for my fellow man and never think of sex anymore and thats just fine with me because it was running my life and very heard on my marrage.My wife and i get along better then we ever have and are the best of friends for the first time in our 38 year marrage.I would sugest that you try chem cast for at least two years this is a big step and you need to know what you are up against for the rest of your life so do your home work and do take the time to see if you realey want this for the rest of your life.

Well taking both hormones, depending your body you could get a very bad case of Gynecomastia, and other feminization depending on the balance of the hormones. Too much female hormones will cause importance, and all male homones will become female before exiting the boy. The female hormones have a much shorter half life in the body. That is way steroid users have problems with bitch tit (gynecomastia) and take estrogen blockers at the end of their steroid cycle.
My suggestion would be don't do it! I was going off T and on to E and the emotional steain was toooooooooooooo much! My Blood Presure and my pulse was also messed up and the worst part was the return of sexual cravings. My MD put me on T and then the E and didn't give the T time for it to leave my body. What a mess! Be careful out there! Scottie
Update: I injected my 2nd 150ml dose of Dep Provera today.
Overall, I think I'm starting to feel the effects -- have spent much less time looking at porn and thinking about sex. Frequency of masturbation has gone down significantly, and when I do I feel much less urgency and pleasure.
I'm looking forward to seeing if this 2nd dose of Depo really does "chemically castrate" me.
I know everyone is diffrent but the premiran has not effected my blood pressure and yes it has feminization but its worth it and i feel normal for the first time in my life.But hay thats just my story i am sure everyone of you have some stories that would be very interesting to here.
I have been taking the generic androcur pills for about 9 months. I want to switch over to depo proveria .... Does anyone have a good (reasonable) source of preloaded injection (with syinge) doses of DP? I would rather not buy the needles separately....or is that not a big deal (loading the syringes yourself) for those taking DP themselves? Cheers
As i have posted i was on depo provera for two years befor my surgery and i was able to get my shots from my doctor because i shaired with him how i needed to get away from testosterone and the good man listened to me so that was my sorce.It never herts to ask you may find a doctor who will listen to you and want to help as mine did keep us posted.

BTW, anyone who has used DP for a long time, have you noticed your testicles retracting at all into your body? I've heard they will shrink, but also curious to see if they will dissapear into the abdomen.
They don't retract but they do shrink slightly & become as numb as they were before puberty. Try this sometime: With your pants off, move your hips so that your genitals swing & bounce off your abdomin. If it doesn't hurt then you are at pre-pubertal sensitivity.
well my testicles do seem to be shrinking a little. i'm wondering if DP is ever going to cause "total impotence" ... with 300mg in me and going on a month almost, I can still get erections and orgasm ... I know "give it time" but it seems the only people who get totally impotent are those on Androcur ... from what I read DP only brings you down to "pre pubertal" testosterone levels but not any lower ...
for those who have been on DP for a year or more, do you feel you've ever achived "total impotence" or asexualization?
