Based on info I found about degree date, I suspect he is about 75. Sounds like he is still the first choice in this country.

I had my bilateral orchiectomy on April 13, 2006. It was done by a female urologist at the urology surgical center with local anesthetic. Everything went smooth as silk, single centerline incision, the cords were laser cauterized. Had a drain, took antibiiotics for a week. Can't even find the scar now. T level was tested a few weeks ago, it is 20. Very satisfied as to how the procedure went.
However, now a few months later. I don't like the empty scrotum and would like it removed. But she suggested I see a plastic surgeon [?]. She refered me to 2. The first one only works on hands, the second one can only be reached by answering service - no replys to phone or mail enquiries. Nothing is easy huh?

Dr. Kimmel will remove it, no questions asked, but he's in Philly. Hey Wayne, feel fortunate, most of us would have preferred a femal urologist to castrate us. Can't you tell us her name and where she's located? How did you get her to do it? Did you have a medical condition? It's hard enough to find a male urologist to castrate you and you had a woman, hat's off! Hash

My father was diagnosed and treated for "prostate cancer" when he was 68. I'm wondering if you can convince a urologist to castrate you in order to prevent this type of cancer. It's too late for me, I'm already castrated, but I read about a woman who had her breasts removed in her late 40's and she did not have cancer, they were perfectly fine. However, her grandmother, mother, sister, and I believe aunt all had breast cancer and her grandmother and mother died from it. Same thing can happen with prostate cancer, so why couldn't you use this excuse to get castrated? Anyone? Hash

Surgeons in general won't remove testicles as a prophalctic for prostate cancer. The genetic connection is not clear enough, unlike breast cancer which has a high correlation to genetics. Even with this, mastectomy to prevent cancer is so controversial that some authorities consider it to be unethical. --FLO--

can anyone, please help me.I have wanted to be castrated for years,As my wife keeps me in a chastity device permantley. She also agrees that the loss of my testacles, would be better for both of us,as she would not have to milk me.I have found a clinic in Antwerp,Belguim, who would do this. The website is,www.o-r-r.com.Can anyone tell us if it is a reputable clinic or no.Thankyou malpaschick.

As an update to this thread, we can score one more scary story of Kimmel.

Read two accounts of unsanitary practice and problems at this link.
Comments and PM's and email continue to come in.
I will not share these unless the writers post them themselves, however.
I believe the time has come to announce an official warning about Dr. Kimmel, in that he may be headed down the same road as Dr. Spector was. Unsanitary practices, bad record keeping, personal display of inattention to detail, distractions, and even memory loss. These are the things being written about. I can only encourage those folks to POST IT HERE, please. Take out a new User ID if you have to - make something up if you must. Put reference in the sign up details to this.
I figured that this time would come someday, and it would seem that it has.

Hi,a new member.
I don't understand the problems some of you have had with castration. I'm not talking about " cutters" but urologists. I have prostate cancer. After consultation with my GP and the surgeon,a bi/ orch was decided on. I didn't want the chemical option. As I have a heart condition and already take six drugs per day.----- I went in to hospital, got into bed,the anethatist [ not sure of the spelling] came in and had a chat Put a canulla inthe back of my hand. I was wheeled down to the op' theatre. Given a shot, and woke up back on the ward. The urologist came in and said every thing went fine. don't bathe for a week, take showers. Any problems give me a ring, and any pain, take a couple of aspirin. All I had was two stiches.a piece of cotton wool, held on by surgical tape. which fell off. The nurse stuck a bandaid on the cut, made me a cup of tea and sent me on my way rejoicing.------ NO drains. or blood seeping out, no smells,no pain, nothing. I have had more problems having a tooth filled. I don't understand why some of you have had,[what after all is a simple operation,]these problems ??On the 12th Jan I have to go in for a TURP.. Same surgeon. no worries.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.
