scrotum removing procédure

Post by frany1953 (imported) »

I would want to know how the surgeon removes the scrotum at the same time castration. How it carries out the cutting and to which place it cuts the genital organs to remove the scrotum, and to which moment it cuts the cords of the testicles? How it closes the wound, which form and which length will have the scar?

I ask this question for my party I have the scrotum that begins has about two-thirds of the extremity of my penis and that goes enough far between my thighs and climbs back up of each sides of my penis, to remove my scrotum it is necessary to carry out a cut rather important?

Is this that in my case it completely can be remove without that that puts problems or well it will be remove partially?

Those that were castrated are it in my case, are you able to give me details on removing of the scrotum at the same time the testicles?

many thanks to you

I believe that our poster here has the issue, which is rather common, of the excessive scrotum surrounding a great deal, 2/3, of the penis. I have a bit of webbing myself, as it's called. I would interpret this as to concerns about scrotal removal, when so much of the penis is webbed, or enclosed in scrotal skin. How do they do it, etc.? Are there problems with this? I don't know.

Perhaps others here will know more about this "penis entrapment" by scrotal skin?

Excuse me for my English.

I will specify my questions

The skin of my scrotum is broad and long

In my case how the surgeon made to remove my scrotum and my testicles at the same time.

Do you know how he performs this process, does he cuts the scrotum entirely.

How is it painfully, what is the result of the operation, immediately and later

How are the scar and the aspect of my genital after?

many thanks for reply

in my case about 75% of the scrotum was removed.

The scrotum was the first that was removed, after that some tissues were removed and finally the testicles were cut. The length of the scar is about 3 inches / 7 cm.

The procedere is not painfully. A regional anesthesy is usually performed, that will numb the scrotum totally. The penis though will not be numb. In my case the result is a desaster. The scar is inflamed and I have to go to my local doctor every two days. My doctor said that after the healing process is finished, the scar will be very big. I do hope that your surgeon does a better job.

I had castration and scrotal removal in Philadelphia with Dr Kimmel on Feb 2nd this year.

I hope for you that the result will be better than foreseen and than your new state will satisfy you

karaklis,,,I just returned from my second visit to see dr kimmel.First off let me start by saying I was castrated last august and came home and had all sorts of healing problems.Including the two spermatic cords growing together at the stump ends and attaching to the incision site on the scrotum. So last week off I go to philly again to get things fixed. My office visit was fine until

dr kimmel who I have the utmost respect for asked me four times how old I was.My girlfriend and I agreed right then and there that I would not be having any more procedures with the good doctor.I have since came back

to wisconsin and have an appointment with a local uroligist for my surgery needs.I am going to ask him to remove the remainder of the cords via abdominal incisions after cutting the mess loose in my scrotum.thought this may make you feel better.[twin] 😄

Twin,

Thanks for sharing this.

This isn't a good sign.

While Dr. Kimmell has been an important assett to the Community in taking over for Spector, we need to know things like this. I have been making notes from postings on the Board and from IM conversations I have had with others.

And I am beginning to worry.

I am debating, and have mentioned it to The Sister, as to whether a separate thread with a count and issues is needed or not. What I am finding seems to have happened within the last calendar year.

While I don't know Kimmell's age, or any of his personal history, age related slip-ups can often begin suddenly and intensify rapidly. That is one of the reasons that my own beloved GP stopped practicing and retired. In no way do I want to offend the Doctor, nor encourage back alley castrations.

But - there's that word again - we do need to be aware of such. Information in today's world is very easy to come by. So is misinformation.

paolo,Your Idea about a thread is a good one.It would let the readers make an informed decision. If It can help one person it will be worth it.Kristers experience with spector is a perfect example. Thanx and keep up the good work on the EA. [twin] 😄
