estrogen effect after castration
I am currently on premarin, administered by my phyiscian, to lower my out of control libido. My question, is, since I do not want to be totally asexual, will the premarin, not only add feminizing affects, but will it also give me somewhat of a low level sensuous feeling, so that I can respond to others?

Re: estrogen effect after castration
Estrogen can, in itself, lower testosterone levels to the castration level. I suspect, though, that one would need to take a very high dose to accomplish this (higher than the 8mg a day I'm currently on) which could be potentially unhealthy (hence the need to add an anti-antrogen to lower estrogen doses). Estrogens, can and will, give you feminizing effects.
I have gone from normal male hormone levels, through castration, and I'm now at normal female hormone levels. I can, and still do, have orgasms if I so desire. Granted, my orgasms are totaly dry and they do feel much different than I had as a male. I can now be a compassionate, caring and loving person without the raging desire for sex every second of the day.
If you are just seeking a lower libido through this method of an estrogen only regiment, you may just lose your interest in sex altogether. Then again, perhaps the estrogen may still give you a completely different sex drive.
Most folks here (ie: eunuchs) seek to eliminate libido for good (with the exception of some who take low doses of estrogen for health benifits). While others (ie: transsexuals) eliminate testosterone altogether (still retaining a small amout such as found in a normal female) while simutainiously increasing estrogen levels to female ranges.

Well said Christina! I agree completely. My recent testosterone levels were "10" and I'm uncut with no sexual desire at all.Hugs ,Leona

Christina, thanks for the info, very helpfull.Although I am not seeking SRS, I am a very androgonous individual, very much in touch with my feminine side. I am very passive, and giving. Would rather please others, which gives me forfillment.
You answered my question, and thanks again!

Tribestan might help you with your sexual sensitivity without stimulating the desire to penetrate. Many people have said that it makes you desire anal stimulation.

After a year on Androcur and 2 1/2 years castrated today my testosterone level is zero and so is my sex drive. In both cases I am very happy.

Thanks for the info. Yes I too, feel very relaxed and calm on the premarin. Gives me a warm feeling. Am also on aldactane, but at present a low dose. Still getting urges which I hope will dissipate, when my doc increases anti androgens. But,,,,,,,,,,,hoping, the premarin will still give me a low level sensual feeling. Don't want to be completely asexual. Want to be able to respond to others, when iniated by them. Love to please.
