Safe Penis Banding - or at least "Safer"
First off, I want to apologize if this is the wrong forum, but I wanted a large number of people to see this in hopes of getting a good answer. I also posted this on the "Penectomy" board, but it seems to be MUCH less active
So I was curious if anyone out there has any experience with Penis Banding and also has a medical background. I have experimented with it here and there using a rubber band. I've left it on for 30-45 minutes. I will usually get partial numbing that will last a day or two. I've read that going longer than that increases your risk of gangrene and blood clots etc.
One thing I was curious about is would it be safer to to multiple shorter sessions, like 30-45 minutes once or twice a day, or would it be better to do a much longer session less frequently? I'm trying to obtain FULL numbness that last a moderately long time (under a month or two), but not permanent(yet). I know everyone is different so it may be difficult to advise.
I was also curious about taking some aspirin before banding. It thins the blood and is used to treat people with a tendancy to have blood clots, so I was thinking it might be the perfect thing to take prior to a longer banding session.
Any advice from personal experience, or from anyone with a medical background would be great.
Thanks,
Joecool722

A-1,
You must be the newcomers welcoming commitee. I must say I enjoyed a personal attack on my nick/handle on my first post to this board. So much for a supportive response.
I do however awknowledge some of the points you raised. However, I think there are many people like me who would like to try before we buy. Do you give the same nasty response to people who chemically castrate and just tell them to suck it up and cut it off?
I have read a great deal on banding, but still have some questions. I understand the risks, hence the question about the aspirin. I'm looking for people who have done this before and may have some advice.
If there are some "nicer" people on this board who may be interested in giving a real response as opposed to a "**it or get off the pot" blanket response, It would greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joecool722

Joe,
You did not really state what you want to achieve.
For numbness in the penis -- use Lidocaine topical cream.
In any case, the penis tissue needs a lot less blood flow to "stay alive" than any other part of the body, so it is even harder than testicles (which require at least 12 hours and usually 24) to damage with banding.
I don't think banding penis can really acheive much, except to preserve temporary erection (if that's a problem for you).
I think it would be cool to have total lack of sensation in the penis while it still was able to get erect, but I don't think banding would achieve that.

We discussed this and agreed that the post in question was nothing more than an attack upon a new member. Such is uncalled for and will not be tolerated.

I agree. Much less hassle, and more effective. Though if you're really interested in banding I suggest you do it more often with shorter duration. (btw, using lidocaine regularly for a long time will cause permamanent nerve damage)
BTW, how old are you joe?

To give everyone a quick history on me, I'm 26, married to a wonderful mistress who is 35. We have 2 kids and one on the way. We've played numerous Chastity games etc, but I've always been fascinated with the inability to orgasm, or at least making it very difficult, without the hassle of a CB. We want to have one more child, so nothing to severe just yet, but we are both interested in banding etc. The goal in the short term is to provide as much total numbness as possible, in the relative short term, i.e., a few weeks, maybe a couple of months. Not quite ready to take the full step into permanance. I understand that anytime you play with banding you are running a risk, and everyone is different, so what may cause a week of numbness for one person, may cause a year for another. But it's a risk we are willing to take. From what I have heard, even if you permanently kill the nerve in the penis, it doesn't necessarily mean you will never orgasm again, just that it will be much more difficult. Anyway, I toyed with the idea of chemical castration, but mistress wants me to have the "desire" without the ability... no desire and no fun.
So we have progressed to more fully investigating banding. I understand there a lot of risks, but from what I've read, (and I do take it with a grain of salt) the penis is a pretty resilient thing, and even with repeated banding etc, it tends to recover. What we want to be careful with is the more serious health issues of gangrene/blood clots etc. Hence the question on aspirin.
My mistress is not into actual "body modification" so a real penectomy is not an option, so we figured banding would be a good second choice.
Thanks,

hey joe, it may be none of my business but i do have conditions close to your stated goal of no orgasm as a side effect of m.s., i have had only one orgasm from intercourse in nine years. at this point i would be quite willing to have the entire unit removed, are you sure your mistress is not into more permanent types of body modifications?

Re: Safe Penis Banding - or at least "Safer"
Joe,
Sorry, forgive me, I was having a bad day. I have them from time to time. Every board has their "GRUMP". That's me. Since Bboy has passed on and Paolo became much more reserved, calm, cool, and collected, somebody had to become grumpy to fill in, I guess that's me now.
But all kidding aside, you do realize that you are sort of playing "Russian Roulette" with what you are doing, Don't you? This 'banding' to prevent or to restrict circulation is not the way to achieve safe, temporary numbness. You numb something by affecting nerve impulses, not by restricting circulation. It is just if you get a restrictor tight enough to restrict circulation, you also have it tight enough to deaden nerve impulses, too. Something that tight is not safe.
I had you pictured as a young fellow who is not sure what he wants. Well, anyway, if it is temoporary numbness that you want, try this simple plan to attain temporary numbness.
I would recommend that you pack "it" in ice. In fact, it would be better to immerse all of you genitalia in icewater. This is difficult without being nude, but when you do it a blanket around the rest of your body may ward off a chill and allow you to tolerate the immersion longer, thus increasing the effective time of the numbing. Now, this is important so pay attention.
DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use salt on the ice or in the water. Do not do this if you have an abundance of salt on youf skin, from sweating or from anything else. To prevent excess salt on the skin that could cause problems wash with soap and tempid water before you do it. Using salt on ice will lower the temperature of the water in your body below freezing, (32 Degrees F) and possibly give you severe tissue damage, frostbite or worse.
However, just packing it in ice or more specifically, icewater, will render you temporarily numb after about 15 - 25 minutes and several hours is possible without significant tissue damage if all you use is ice water. You may or may not want to do this in conjunction with a cockring, because your cock restricts the flow OUT, not the flow in, of blood. So, if you use a cockring, just have it tight enough to prevent the migration of the testicles out of the scrotum and your penis from retracting up into your body. I would NOT recommend restricting blood flow because the cold will do that automatically, and once you get those pain receptors numb, you will not know if serious damage is occuring from the restrictor. To get the maximum cold effect shave or clip the hair very, very short, less than 3/16" so that the hair does not matt down and hold in body heat. Shaving is probably the best, though if you do it right before the immersion so that you don't get pimple-like reddened areas from the shave.
Well, good luck, Joe cool.
