Also FAT does release estrogen, so the more over wieght you are the more estrogen you end up having. There are some photos on the plastic surgery sites dealing with gynecomastia where overwieght boys became active and lost the wieght and had to have breast tissue removed to have a flat chest.

The question of sex after castration is one of those YMWV. In general, the older you are when castrated, the more likely you will wind up impotent. But younger eunuchs can carry on quite a sex life.

Also, the longer you are a eunuch, the more likely asexuality will set in sooner or later.

On the other hand...and I do mean "hand", active masturbation may prolong the period of sexual response in the eunuch.

If a eunuch wants to have sexual ability after it has gone, he can always take testosterone.

In my case, I have more or less drifted into asexuality, relax and enjoy it, and have no intention of taking replacement testosterone. Just finished coming of the Premarin I had been taking to suppress hot flushing.

.....Could one still attain erections after castration without HRT? Yes - at most ages. However it would be substantially more difficult,... For those who think they are going to be castrated, and maintain a normal (i.e., pre-castration) sex-life afterward, they are sorely deluded. Even with HRT, there will still be significant diminishment of capacity, although with significantly more capability than without HRT.

As some are fond of saying, "mileage (or kilometerage) varies with the individual." It may also depend on the androgen dosage. I usually do 5 g of AndroGel daily. I think that eunuchs are supposed to have been in some demand, both as lovers and as husbands, in Classical Rome. Don't know what text that is derived from. There are also comments suggesting something similar, relating to eunuchs in the Middle East in the era of the Ottoman Empire.

Of course, moderation would seem to be the best course in this sort of thing.

Castrated males do not make good lovers. For the most part they cannot acheive an errection on demand so to speak. There are expections to the rule I suspect but in my case it holds true. Since I had my balls removed for medical reasons 4 years ago I have had intercourse with my wife 2 times. Both within the first 8 months. The second time I was unable to sustain a effection for long. I do hormones. Sex for me post castration (once I was on the stuff) wasn't much different than before. There's the obvious stuff, like not feelin' 'em swingin' between my legs as I'm pounding. Orgasms are sometimes not quite so good, sometimes real good, but for the most part I've discovered that it's all in your head...just like when a guy does have his balls.

Really, unless you have further issues (like limpone), so long as you're on a proper hormone dose (which may take a few months to figure out) you'll be fine so long as you think you will be.
