Last visit time

Post by curious_guy (imported) »

The last visit time displayed on the index page of the archive seem to be wrong most or all of the time but the one displayed by the user CP seems to be correct.

My time zone is USA Pacific (-8:00). Is the time zone of the index page Greenwich (+ 0:00) because then it would be about right?

Unless you set the pref in your USER CP, the default is GMT, yes.

There is actually a problem with the last visit time.

When you first connect to the board, it shows the main index page with Bboy's picture and the time and date of the last visit is correct. However, if you return to the page later, it shows a different page which was the one promising changes and includes the beta version of the story index. This page also shows the last visit time, but in my case is says that I have not connected since August.

When was the last time you cleared your cookies and dumped your Internet cache?

I tried doing that. When I next connected the message on the main index (with Bboy's picture) said that it did not recognise me, and if I was registered I should log on. However, the second screen did recognise me and is still wrong. I guess that the cookie must be somewhere else or for some reason it did not get deleted with the other ones.

Yeah, I know that is what you get for running XP, but I cannot afford to change OS at the moment.
