Dont give up so easily.Ive had at total of 5 hernias done ,including one that had to be redone.All were done with the abdominal area on each side, thats also where i had my balls removed at different times. So I know it can be done.Maybe your Dr. can use the newer method.On your Hernia.Then you could have the abdominal site for testical removal. Like I said it can all be done . So please dont give up. It may all be useless now, anyway. I just got back from the urologist because I've been having some pain in my groin. Well, I have a hernia and have to have surgery. I told the doctor about my orchiectomy plans, and he told me that there is pretty much no way it's going to happen now. Apparently the hernia operation will created scar tissue in my abdomen, which will make it impossible for the plastic surgeon who was supposed to do my operation to go back in. The surgeon I wanted to use works through incisions in your stomach to keep from creating scar tissue on the scrotum, but now it looks like it's not going to happen. I don't know what I am going to do now. I'm going to go ahead and cancel my Electrolysis 2000 appointment and stop taking my hormones, because it looks like it's not worth it anymore.

Of course you need to deal with the hernia as it is medically necessary. I would however get a second opinion on the orchiectomy. I think it is important to let the doctor/surgon handling the orchiectomy have all the relevant information so she can make her own prognosis. In any case there is more than one way to bake a cake. So don't give up in despair until you have exercised all your options.

There are two dangers to oral hormones: blood clotting and general liver damage. The blood clot danger will not be reduced by dissolving a tablet under the tongue, although liver damage should be lessened.

To find out more about blood clots and estrogen, you should look up what happened when they were developing the birth control pill. Many, many women died or had strokes and stuff -- sort of a forgotten legacy of the sort of experimentation drug companies due (most of the women that died were in countries like Mexico). Definitely read up on it, because it is the dosage that really effects the chance of blood clots.

Blood clotting increases while on estrogen because estrogen stimulates the liver to produce clotting enzymes. So, if one takes estradiol sublingually, less estrogen goes to the liver, resulting in reduced stimulation of the liver by estrogen and lower production of clotting enzymes. Taking estradiol sublingually does reduce the risk of blood clots.

Leona Lee, Had nodule on right one, covering removed,did grow to the scrotum,painful,removed during Hernia surgery.Testicle had to cut of scrotum, wound on scrotum didnt heal, trip to ER.They called in Uro group Dr. flushed out clots redid site with drain, Healed after that.Left one had many veins growing there,painful.Wanted it out ,removed through abdominal site. healed with out problem.
