Are We Really Human??
ALL,
Did not where to post this. Sometimes I think I am not really human afterall. Why do I want to be a eunuch. Maybe we are really different and are not humans afterall. How do you feel about this?

Re: Are We Really Human??
Your anguish over this is clear evidence that you're human. You don't need to be ordinary to be human. Show yourself the same compassion that a feeling person like you must show others. You don't need to ask "why do I want to be a eunuch" any more than you would need to ask why you would not. If you are sincere and unconflicted in your wish, which harms no one, then there should be no obstacle to fulfilling your wish. You should ask yourself why it's so important to be like most other people. On this board, you learn that you are not alone. Be at peace.

Re: Are We Really Human??
Every one of Glenda's posts is thoughtful and/or thought-provoking. This one clearly fits the pattern.
The quick-and-dirty answer to his question is, of course, a loud and strong YES!
I have already been working on a short piece on eunuch psychology and personality for posting on the Archive. I will now plan also a short piece on biology to add to it. A full answer to Glenda's question will take a book-length exposition. I'm working on it and have conducted several interviews of members here as well as read a great deal.
Expect the book in about three years.

Amen, y'all. I sometimes forget that not everyone is as wonderful and understanding as the folks here. It stinks to be brought back to reality when I hear of someone doing something inhuman, or inhumane. I haven't seen that here.

Re: Are We Really Human??
Are we human? I have spent countless hours wondering what it means to be human. I can as yet shed little light on that subject but, I can assure you that we are all human here. We show all the great variety of thought and motivation that defines humanity. We are quintessentialy human. Eunuch or not has no effect on that.--FLO--

Re: Are We Really Human??
This is a little off topic, but to paraphrase what someone once said, If you are not human, there are probably a lot of animals who are glad that you aren't.
By questioning whether you're human, you are, of course, referring to your psychological makeup--DNA undoubtedly proves beyond any question, that you are biologically human.
Let's face it--the human race is a big tent. All kinds of variety. And what is normal, is really a matter of population dynamics, not anything absolute. Just be yourself, and don't hurt anybody else.

Sounds human to me. Further, I can think of many bad ways to be human. This does not seem a bad way--just one of many varied ways to live.

Human, hrumpff, I'm an elderly werewolf and proud of it.
You humans, at least you females, are my cattle, except for Jane_Says, she's the only human goddess I put on a pedestal. Well almost, the only one, which brings me to A-1.
A-1.......Sigourney Weaver is mine so HANDS OFF
