Chat room again

I have looked at the system and I dont know why either of you guys cant connect to the chat room.

have you tried reloading the chat room server?

I am at a loss.

I don't know exactly what the problem is, other than it has something to do with the web server on the chat server box. Any of the programs that run off of the Archive server proper should work fine.

Apric or any one that the url is like http://darkstar1.tzo.com ..... is appearantly down. I think this is a different issue that the other person who seems to be able to connect, but not log on.

Hey BBoy,

The full version of the Mozilla browser contains a chat client called Chatzilla. It's quite simple to install and use and works with the EA.

Perhaps, you could check it out at www.mozilla.org and add it to the list of clients if you also like it.

You certainly should be able to use one of the other chat clients. Go to the main forums page here and click in the link to "The Lobby" and let me know what happens.

Otherwise, work will continue to get everything back up.

I am still unable to connect using Apric. I installed Bersirc and was able to connect using it.

I just logged into the Chat room using WinXP Pro. No problem. Hope all you chat monsters have fun yacking... hehehe... http://www.eunuch.org/Public/Images/ea1/E9.gif

This is just a question for anyone having problems accessing the chatroom.

Are any of you running the ZoneAlarm firewall? If so, it automatically blocks all IRC connections, unless you specifically go into it and turn that 'feature' off.
