thanx for the kind words river,I agree with you 100%.I also have a few tats and when I walked into the parlor I was inpressed with the clean envirement.

I cannot blame kimmel for the bs I went through either.It was more my fault for trying to do to much to fast.Not to mention murphys law which seems to apply to me big time.I am going back after the first of the year to have the scrotum removed.I'm taking andrews advice and healing up before going back for the skin reduction. P,S wished I had saved my gonads like you did.At the time I didn't even want to see them.I told kimmel to toss them in the garbage and he did.

I too lost a testicle to a cancer scare. My operation was via the abdomen. My doctors said this was the safest way to remove the testicle with least risk of spreading the cancer throughout my body. My pain level and healing process was much easier with the abdominal procedure than the scrotal operation performed by Dr. Felix Spector. Spector left a lot of bruising which looked disgusting and his procedure required a lot of attention in order to prevent infection.

If I had to redo either operation, I would choose the abdominal procedure and live with the visable scar. I say this from experience with both procedures.

Your conclusions are just the opposite of mine. The abdominal surgery took 2 weeks - in bed - to heal, and I was in considerable discomfort. And I still have that 4" scar, although it's interesting that even long-term lovers often have not noticed it. I guess we just become self-conscious about such minor defects that are even mostly hidden by pubic hair. OTOH, I was back at work less than 48 hours following the removal of my 2nd testicle through a 3/4" scrotal incision. That was a bit too soon, but the point is that recovery was largely free of pain or any complications. I admit that care of the surgical area for over 2 weeks was itself a pain.

I'll add though that the principal reason for the 1st surgery was repair of a massive inguinal hernia that saw a good bit of intestine invade my scrotum that also essentially killed the testicle. My discomfort may have resulted from the work needed to restore my intestinal tissue to its proper place in my abdomen. I have to consider it was also the mid-1950s - almost ancient times in medical technique.
