tiredness

Does everyone, post-op get that deep fatigue that is often described, and how long does it last? I've run for 40 years and wonder how I would be affected? Thanks Marsha Marundefined

Hi Leona, I'm not post op. I do use assorted herbs (34B) so they work, also Chasteberry. I have been tired, but me thinks this a result of a painful heel problem that radiates up my legs (plantar fascitis) and makes me feel tired. Most animals post-op don't lose strength , race horses especially, oxen are powerful despite their loss, dogs too. The transsex site said it lasts a few months. thanks, Marsha

:) Well Marsha. You must be a little Gal,you'll be able to find a lot of neat

clothes.I'm 5'10" 150 # 40-34-40 a very honest a-cup.Anyway,it sounds like your herbal route works, that's nice to hear.Sure didn't work for me,what size shoe?I'm 9 med or 11 wd.for a lady. All those years, testosterone is mean to us.Oh,got off the subject,I bought a Proform 650 home gym.I work out 3 times a week. This will increase electrolytes. You need to try to keep off your feet until you heal.I can't run anymore so this works for me,otherwise I'll be headed for a wheelchair.Way out,I don't want to go there. So on estrogen and such I keep my dose's pretty low and go 4mos on 2 off.Part of that is I don't want breast cancer if I can help it.I've got my plate full now.If you want to go private, feel free to send a private message.I try to answer right away.LOL,Leona :D

I think that, when my testosterone level fell, I retained high energy levels and stamina until I developed cardiac problems. I never liked running, though I did it for twelve years. I did climb many flights of stairs daily and walked several miles a day long after I lost libido. I don't know how to sort out one effect from another from my medical status.

I can't really help with that problem I've always suffered from low energy levels. Before I was castrated I was on lots of medications that had sided effects that cased drosiness and have since been put on even more medications so it is hard for me to determine what all is causing tiredness, lack of energy, and weakness. I saw a bunch of that before the castration and chemical castration, and it seemed to get worse usually everytime they changed the meds but Iknow the castration probablky didn't help any.

Just going back through some of the older posts & thought I'd update you on what I found to help here...

I drive truck & this is what I found to help w/ tiredness.

1: Stacker 2 or Stacker 3, if Stacker's don't light your fire, it's not gonna get lit!

2: Ginseng, preferably American Ginseng.

3: Bee Pollen/Royal Jelly.

4: Vitamins, I double the reccommended dose except for vitamin C which I triple during cold & flu season. Nice thing about Vitamin C is that body just pee's out what it can't use!

Check out Putitan's Pride Vitamins (http://www.puritan.com). That's where I get mine as they have an awesome reputation & fast, freindly customer service. Putitan's Pride website has tons of info! (http://www.puritan.com)

Be happy to answer any questions, just let me know!

Runner here. I run upwards to 3x/week and 6-16 km each time. While I just took a week off from training to attend at a men's gathering in OR state's Cascade mountains, my the running definitely helps in keeping my waist to a trim 30". I'll enter about 3-4 half marathons as spring approaches. While not fast, I'm nevertheless in about the top 20% for my age group (60-64). It feels better w/o balls. I also cycle 25 km to and from work daily. I've always had energy. However, I couldn't keep up my level of physical activity w/o HRT.
