Hot flashes, though irritating at times, were not as bad as the depression. Hot flashes are uncomfortable, but depression is debilitating. Even before Doc Kimmel took my remaining testicle, I started to experience severe depression. It overwhelmed me while mowing the grass and I didn't even care about the hot flashes that were hitting me at the same time. My body was reacting to not having any testosterone due to my remaining failing testicle. Fortunately I had some testosterone and in a few hours, the depression subsided. So hot flashes are uncomfortable and annoying, but depression is debilitating, be careful.

Would you have hot flashes if you were taking Estrogen?

That's a good question, I think estrogen will alleviate the hot flashes, but I don't know for sure. Anyone?

Yes, that completely alleviates them for me.
