Hi to anyone who is reading this.
First of all, I am not really into castrating myself. But I don't deny the fact that I feel kinda good reading posts in this forum.
In fact, on the contrary, I am into bodybuilding. However, due to the over usage of certain male hormones, it would seems like the effects of chemical castration has set into my life somehow or others, well indirectly. I have seen my endocrinologist but he does not seem to be able to link all the observations together. I am hoping that someone here can tell me is what I am experiencing some form of chemical castration as well.
Well, I've been using exogenous male hormones for quite long. I am 29 this year. I started since 22? Well, about there. There were pause in between to allow the HPTA to realign itself. Perhaps I'm not being very scientific, I did not sought any medical assistance to this. I thought the pauses were sufficient. You can say it is a form of abuse.
Well over the years, I suppose I could not make up whether there is any changes in my genital sizes. But definitely when I am on some exogenous hormones, I do feel my testicles getting smaller. (Although now after 8 months of cessation, I did feel my testicles getting bigger). Although erections were still there, the ejaculation seems to get lesser and lesser into the hormone cycle. Last year, I had episodes of depression. It was so bad that I thought the world has abandoned me. It really screwed up my work, my interpersonal relationship and so on. Nothing seems to cheer me up. Another thing is, my weight has since been escalating, I went over 110kg, no matter how much exercises I do.
Since last year till now, i had suffered 2 stress fractures as a result of my running (in an attempt to lose weight). Also, sometimes, my sheen seems to hurt a lot for no reason when I'm walking down the stairs. Feels like its going to break. For this ask the doctor for a bone density test (don't know the exact terms), results due in July.
Late last year, I stop all these exogenous stuffs. I had my depression again. I had a lot of mood swings. But after 2 months or so after I stopped the hormones, I began to think straight, to think calmly. Incidentally, I am gay. But during this period of time after the 2 months, I simply could not achieve any erections, no matter what I do. I'm simply not interested in sex. Ejaculation was also not so frequent but when I do have, the ejaculate was miserably little. Today, I have been away from all those stuff for almost 8 months. It would seems like my libido is back and so are the other aspects of my sex life.
I am curious though or perhaps someone can tell me, did I just mimic a chemical castration. Was what i felt, ie. the depression, the mood swing and erectile dysfunction, what someone would feel when he is chemically castrated or surgically castrated for that matter? Was the calmness part of it also?
I'm not sure if I had any "hot flashes" during these periods but when I was on the hormones, I do suddenly feel something like....well, I would term it "low-blood sugar"....is that hot flashes? Simply, when I feel this "low blood sugar" thing, I'll need to gulp down lots of food and sweet stuffs and I will sweat a lot!!! Is this a hot flash?
Perhaps someone can enlighten me?
Thanks!

Well taking all those "exogenous male hormones" will shut down your hormone production. Depending on your body it will take time to be back to your self in the hormone production. Since you are back to close to normal now, no real damage was done. But your balls may stop making hormons later in life.
