odd odd orchi question
I had a coworker ask if i wanted to go horseback riding this weekend
I begged off, claiming I had too much to do.
how soon after orchi can you ride?
I'm assuming several weeks after the stitches dissolve out

I wouldn't think it would be too much of a problem, the biggest problem afterwards would be lifting heavy objects. I would say if the pain is gone and you can tolerate riding it would be safe, but that is just my opinion as I am not a surgeon.

Thanks
stitches are still there, and every so often I spot in the gauze pad (probably from moving the wrong way while asleep)
I'm afraid there'd be tearing of the stitches or the scar tissue if I actually accepted the offer.
She'll probably ask again July 4th weekend(or earlier)

Well go with your gut feeling then.
As for the spot part of it could be the sutures themselves, I know with the surgicial staples I had in the right side they tended to bleed more, and the sutures seemed to be a little painful although the ones he used on me disolved withing 2 weeks from what I could tell.
When I was in the hospital last Nov/Dec they removed the sutures within 2 weeks so if it has been over 4 weeks I wouldn't worry too much.
From my experience with piercings and other modifications it is best to keep the area clean and if it is moist/lubercated the mods/piercings don't seem to be as painful or start bleeding.
It has been a while since I was hourseback riding but unless you are racing don't think there would be too much stress on the site.

Horse riding is pretty rough on the whole crotch area. Not only is there a lot of pressure, but also a lot of stretching. I would definitely refrain from horse riding for several months.

SplitDik is right...
Horseback riding after ANY surgery is not a good idea, let alone CROTCH surgery.
What are you, a glutton for punishment?

Well you know me I do like some punishment.
I don't tend to follow the Dr. advice very well since I like doing things MY WAY!
I do know a few people that have gone back to work climbing stairs constantly, moving heavy objects, etc after castration and scrotal removal. It's possible but really not recommended. I was finished on a Friday and went back to work Monday with no problems and the pain was tolerable. Although I avoided lifting/moving heavy stuff but that was more because back was killing me.

well, moving and carrying stuff doesn't worry me, it's the possibility of tearing of the scar tissue
BTW lupain, i love the masked face tattoo, is it new?
