Questions about chemical castration
I'm interested in chemically castrating myself, but I am new to the subject, so here are my questions (sorry if they are newbie-ish):
1) What different drugs are out there? I know there is Depro-provera and androcur, but do other alternatives exist?
2) How effective are the drugs? I know that this varies from person to person, but what can the "average" man expect?
3) What side effects exist? Are any of the drugs a)feminizing b)cause a reduction in muscle mass or make it harder to increase/maintain muscle mass c) reduce/eliminate pubic/armpit/facial hair?
4) How much can one expect to pay for these drugs?
Thanks in advance. I eagerly await your responses.

JV, here is place to start.

I do not recommend taking high doses of hormones right away. Neither do I recommend taking them on your own without a doctor's advice. Anyway, I hope this helps.

I have been self-injecting DP for over a year now. I can masturbate to orgasm if I REALLY try but generally I have no libido.JVS (imported) wrote: Fri May 21, 2004 11:08 am I'm interested in chemically castrating myself, but I am new to the subject, so here are my questions (sorry if they are newbie-ish):

DP is not feminizing because it prevents your body from making ALL hormones, not just testosterone. You can expect to pay around $30 for a pre-filled syringe containing 150mg.

Re: Questions about chemical castration
I took Androcur for 8 months before actually being castrated, My libido was definitely lowered almost to the point of being totally gone, I'd get the urge maybe once every 3-4 weeks and even then could ignor it easily.
I ordered my supply from http://www.mastersmarketing.com/price_c2.htm It is at the bottom of the page under Cypertone acetate and 168 pills cost ~$180 and would normally arive in about 10 days.
I found Androcur to be very effective, only real side effect would be lowered energy, but I am on so many other drugs that it is hard to determine how much was due to androcur and how much was due to the Rx I am taking since almost all indicate a high presence for drowseyness.
As for hair, I have noticed it has started to grow slower, pubic, facial and arm pits still seem to be thick and dark, but rest of body hair seems to be thiner and lighter in color now.
I have tried doses of 50, 100, 150 & 200mg a day and found 100mg worked the best for me. I would recomend you start out slow either 50 or 100 mg for 3-4 weeks before increasing the dose. Although I did start noticing the effects within the first week of taking Androcur.

Re: Questions about chemical castration
I will second Luvpain on that. I have been on 100 mg. since the first of the year. My pubic and public hair is growing more slowly. I did notice that I was more tired for the first two months on Androcur. My energy level has returned now. I have always been a very active person. I notice other changes Luvpain did not mention. My nipples stand up all the time now. My beard is much softer than before. And of course the easy and expected ones, you never get any more erections anymore.

Re: Questions about chemical castration
I wonder if anyone has had the problem I'm facing? The first time I took Androcur, I took 100mg/day and had the full effects within a week. No unwanted erections, no need for sex at all, dry orgasms when I did do it. But my supply ran out after a month and the next place I ordered from never shipped my order, and then they did ship it but it was delayed, and when I finally went back on the Androcur, it had NO effect! Then I tried another supplier and had more problems so I was off it for a while and then back on it again for a month and again no effect. So next time I ordered a larger amount and increased the dosage. I had to go up to 300mg/day to get close to the effects I had the first time, but not quite as effective. And the fatigue was MUCH worse at this dosage. And at 300mg, it's just way too expensive. So I then stayed off it for a year, and now I've ordered a nine month supply (at 100mg/day) and started taking it about 2.5 months ago. For the 1st month I took 100mg a day and my libido was slightly reduced: I could go a day or two without sex instead of needing it everyday. The strength of my orgasms and the amount of ejaculate was reduced, but still there and still milky. For the 2nd month I went up to 150mg/day and have been able to go up to a week without sex, but I still get horny every few days, I'm just better able to resist it. But I still ejaculate, it's milky, not clear, and while my orgams are reduced in strength, they're still stronger than the first time I was on this stuff when everything shut down. A few days ago I went up to 200mg./day and believe it or not, I'm getting HORNIER! It's hard to believe my body has built up a resistance to this stuff, but what other explanation can there be? And what can I do about it?

Re: Questions about chemical castration
Although I do not take Androcur for chemical castration, ( I used spironolatone) I may be able to offer some suggestions. Perhaps it is something in your diet that is causing the drug to be less effective. It could be also that you have a tolerance for it too. You might try reading the package insert to determine if there is anything you are eating that interferes with this medication. There are several methods to detoxify your system ranging from herbal to commercially available products. I dont know the names of any of them, but I did read once a method of using herbs and it was just a matter of being on a diet solely consisting of some home brewed mixture for several days.

Re: Questions about chemical castration
I'm not really sure what to suggest, I was still able to get an erection (Although not rock hard) when I wanted and tried while on Androcur. The cum cleared up a lot but was never totally clear for me. Even now as a Eunuch I still can get a semi-hard erection and orgasmn if I work at it.
