I agree and thats why i took my dog buddy to the vet about six monthes ago.Well thats not the only reason i had him castrated now what if he gets some other dog pragnet and he brings her home to live at my house then i have another famley to feed. And i sure dont need a bunch of 80 lb puppies running around the house you just got to think of things like that 🔨

I'm sure I'm not the only Archive member who misses the cartoons of Gary Larson. I still remember one that shows a dog (one of his favorite subjects, along with cows) leaning out of the window of a car and saying to other dogs with an air of superiority, "well, Master thinks so much of me that he's about to take me to the vet to be tutored."

More seriously, I recall being given a lift once by a female co-worker who before I got into her expensive SUV apologized for the smell. And with reason: it smelled like the small mammal house of a zoo. She explained sheepishly that a year ago she had taken her un-castrated cat to the vet and it had gotten excited and fired off. She said she had tried twenty different approaches to deodorizing the interior of her SUV and none had worked, with the result that she was resigned to the fact that it was probably worth abouty fifteen thousand bucks less on re-sale than would have otherwise been the case. MORAL: maleness sucks, and the answer is the castrating scalpel (and not just for cats!)

Oh, he will. If not tomorrow, then sooner or later. Life will be more comfortable for BOTH of you. Unaltered male cats spray, and the smell is quite hard to remove. If you try to keep him indoors, an unaltered cat will yowl and become an escape artist. Once outside, it will get into fight after fight with other unaltered male cats over female cats and territory.

Very true Andrew,

Rupert is doing fine, I picked him up yesterday from the vet. He was so happy to see me, purring the minute I picked him up, then he cried all the way home. I think he had just about had it with being in a cage. Once home he ate and drank some water then slept the rest of the day. Today he is curled up in a ball next to me, (his favorate place) in my chair.

It is true, Dogs have masters and Cats have staff.

🆕🐈
