Re: How can we suggest Ops candidates?
thank you surf_toad, I would tend to agree with you.
The way we come up with ops is by the amount of time they spend in the chat room and how they get along with others in the lobby. She does qualify on both accounts.

Thanks River. i really appreciate anybody that likes to chat in the public room. it is so discouraging when you have 20 plus names and nobodies chatting in public and so many women have been driven off lately when they come in to the room and get 5 private chats (unsolicited) before they get a chance to sit down (like Tina34(?) did the other day). i am glad for the ones that stay and make our room a fun place to be.

i worded that really wrong, many appologies to all those who chat in the lobby regardless of sex or orientation, i am appreciative of all who chat in the room, not just the women, that is what i meant to say

Indeed. If there is anything I would want to change about the chat room, it would be the ability to block private chat the second I appeared in the chat room. Set as a preferance, preferably.

As one of the most intelligent site op's here (and the biggest brag artist) I too nminate Lilac as a Site OP's. I would also nominate surf_toad and sag111.
All three would be welcome additions to our staff - and I hear they will work for peanuts

I agree Andrew,
That would be an excellent option. Depending on which chat client one uses unsolicited private messages can be overwhelming. One of the chat clients has a new window pop up for each new private chatter. When that happens what ever you are typing winds up in the new window.
If people respected the rule about asking first for permission to PM in the lobby this would all be a mute point. Perhaps until we can find a chat client that has the preference option to block private chat we can do a better job of educating chatters about proper chat room manors. having said all this the chat room is still my favorite place to go on the entire internet, and that is saying something.
