Re: Possible prolonged absence from the EA
Sunday 15 February 2004, late afternoon
Not doing much today except packing for my six week school in Norman. I have decided that I will wait until I get back before trying to change the cats’ eating patterns to try and help Hestia lose weight. The cats are going to be stressed enough by my absence, especially Max. But it may be that I will have to return Hestia to TLC Adoptions, as it may be that she needs to be an “only cat”, making it easier to restrict her food intake.
In any case. I bought enough food and litter to last six weeks. Brother came over and we had a short chat. I have been doing laundry through out the afternoon. Czarina, for some reason, decided to spend the afternoon sleeping in the Loft in my bedroom, something she hasn’t done for awhile.
I will be going to AA this evening, and will go promptly to bed when I get back at 9:PM. I have to get up at 4 AM for chores and breakfast, so as to be picked up by the airport shuttle at 5:30 AM. I should get to the airport at 6 AM, and this gives me two hours to go through all the checks and lines and inspections.
I cannot say I am looking forward to this six week separation from the cats. Well, I do get one brief trip back. The Post Office will fly me back to LA Friday 5 March, arriving late at night. I have Saturday to go through the mail, pay bills, and so on. I leave early Sunday morning of 7 March to return to Norman. I will be back in LA, permanently I hope, on 27 March.
Now, I hope I can get that computer my brother gave me to work in Norman. If not, rest assured I will be thinking of you all, and missing your support.
Yours Aye….

I am know assigned to working on the AFCS, the Advanced Facing and Canceller System. To prepare me for that task, I am being sent to Norman Oklahoma for a six week school on the AFCS. It is one of the more complicated machines in the Post Office.
I fly out Monday 16 February. School last from 17 February to 26 March. I fly back to Los Angeles on 27 March. :shakemitk
I am not sure if I will be able to access The Eunuch Archives. My brother has given me an ancient portable computer, and I will try to make it work from the hotel telephone system. If you don't receive a message from me on the evening of Monday 17 February, it means I probably failed.
As for the cats, my Brother and his family will be over once a day to take care of the cats.![]()
you're never to old to learn. enjoy.

Talula, I like the idea of "chowder" , the word "clutch" sprang to my mind.
Don't geese come in "clutches" too?? Any ornithologists here?
Keep your ideas coming on this one....and Andrew, once again Good luck.
