I finally saw 'In The Realm Of The Senses'!

I first heard about this movie a few years ago and I have been researching it on the internet. To my surprise the local video store a copy of it in their Foreign Section (Japanese).

I knew the movie was NC-17, but I didn't expect so much nudity and graphic sex. The movie was well done.

But I found the ending to be much more shocking and graphic than I had envisioned. And to a certain degree, I was disgusted.

We actually see the woman CASTRATE her lover. Blood entrails and all. Earlier in the movie we see her hold a knife up to his naked private parts. And then she EATS some of his pubic hair!

These images have long since left an impression on me that I can't get out of mind. After watching that castration scene I had to take a long, cold shower.
