Well not yet anyway. It's been a few weeks since I posted my "Thank God" message on the board and since then my first packet of Androcur has arrived. I have been holding off on taking the medication because of a very exhausting 2 week scedule that will be over on Friday. I'm concerned about the medication making me tired so I decided to wait since I have been getting about 2-3 hours of sleep a night ever since last Sunday. I started this journey about 2+ years ago when I found the Eunuch Archive on the net one night while I was surfing. I have always been interested and facinated with castration since I was a child so typing in the keyword "castration" was a natural thing for me. Well that was two years ago and since then I have been struggling with the question "Is castration right for me?" Fortunately I'm now ready to finally answer that life long question. My starting dose is going to be 100 mg taken daily before bed. I plan on staying with that dosage until I notice the changes I'm look for and then I'll drop my dose down to 50 mg a day and see how that goes. I have had a previous experience with a single Depo Provera shot in the past so I plan on posting about how both experiences differ and about the changes I'm now undergoing. I look forward to all your support and feedback as my body and mind make the transition from man to eunuch in the next few weeks. I would also like to talk to other eunuchs about their experiences with Androcur. Wish me luck, Mountain Air.

Glad to see you will keep a diary of your experiences, it will help greatly down the road. Documentation of your personal experieces is a good thing for any decision you are faced with when it comes to physical and health issues.

Great to see another guy trying out androcur. I am on it for a year now. It is better to take 2 50gm dose then 1 100mg dose. I take 1 pill at breakfast and one at dinner. Wish you luck in your new life.

When you say better do you mean less unwanted side effects or more effective results? I was just concerned about the drugs itself making me tired so I took my first dose and bedtime. I probabely would be better twice a day because you could keep your hormone levels more stable mainly when you first start on it. I'm assuming that within 3 weeks the testicles stop producing testostorone all together so you mood should stabilize at that point. I'm going to take your advice and go twice a day in fact I just took my first dose of the day a few minutes ago. The only things that I have noticed since taking my first 100 mg dose last night was an increase in cold chills over normal and less spontainious errections with less intensity throughout the day. I also lacked the usual morning hard on which is a good sign showing that the changes have already begun. My sex drive is still pretty high and errections are no problem but hopefully that will begin fading away by Sunday. Now all I have to do is see how well I tollerate the drug and what my correct dosage needs to be. I'm also seriously considering going on a low dosage of estrogen. Can anyone give me any advice as to what type of estrogen I should take and what the dosage should be. I was thinking about going on 1.25 mg premarin tablets or maybe a sythetic estrogen. I still going to need to do more internet research before I start.

Most eunuchs that take a low dose of estrogen, take it mainly for control of hot flashes and/or prevention of osteoporosis. A high dose of estrogen will cause feminization.

Rushsite4 i have been on depo provera for the past year and a half and i find that premarin works good for me and i take two 1.25 pills a day and i dont have any problems with hot flashes since. I will say this if you havent seen a doctor you should just to make sure that every thing is safe for you .

Hi I took Androcur for over a month and a half. My symptoms were similar to yours.

First there were no more nightly erections, but still I had a strong libido (for self gratification mostly) and slowly the erections stopped. Next the libido went south. I loved every moment of it.



One day, soon hopefully, I will start again.
